I have been paying close attention to this for the last week. Some people still have hope that this isn't going to effect us, but just read this article.

I think it's totally ignorant to say the US taxpayer money shouldn't be going to stimulate jobs in the EU, but don't we all effectively pay taxes to the US when we buy US goods or services? Not just sales taxes either, but through the income taxes of the companies which bring in foreign money. This seems like an awfully short sighted effort by the Americans at stimulating their economy when it's obviously a matter of interdependency.
I'd really like to see the rest of the world work together at solving our collective problem. If the Americans want to play by themselve then we should let them by choosing to purchase goods from anyone but them.
