Private message difficulties

Is anyone else having trouble with pm's?

I have been trying to send a pm, but the system is telling me my storage quota is full (but it's not) and that I can't send any messages til I make room. I am nowhere near my quota, so what's up?

Can anybody suggest something that would help? Is it just a temporary system glitch?

did u check your sent pm's? Delete those ones too.
u should have room for 200pm.
maybe u have some things in the folder? I never use that so I am not sure if that makes any diff.

Thanks SZabina, yes, I did those things. Total I have well under 100 msgs, including sent items. I still can't send anything....

Maybe not receiving either???

Check your Sent Messages folder and delete some messages from there (the system counts both sent & received messages towards your total allowable messages). Then, when you go to send a new message, at the bottom of the window is a section called "Miscellaneous Options". Uncheck "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder", which is checked by default, if you don't wish to save a copy of each message you send.

Yeah, ok, so I can't send OR receive.

I have only 71 messages, out of 200 allowed.

I still can't send.

If you're sure you've cleaned out all your folders, including any extra storage folders you may have created, then its probably a system glitch.

Thank you SWGuy. Except I can't send any messages.

My pm box is definitely not full - I deleted about 30 or so messages today. So it was fuller this morning than it is now.

I'm stuck.

Ok, emailed Fred. Thanks for the suggestion. I hope it doesn't take too long for a response.

It appears that my pm box forgot that I have paid for an account and a big mailbox. Just noticed my limit is back to 30, all of a sudden. What's up with that?

Ok, so I deleted all but a few messages... I'm off to try again.

This is really wacky.
