Ok, before I say that the deleting of the QM's bbfs thread was senseless, perhaps the Mods would bother posting the reason why they did it.

I found, probably as most others, that the thread was both informative, entertaining, non-abusive, and gave a chance for people to really speak their minds about an issue that is very important to pooning: the safety of the community.

Let's hear it from the Mods. I want to hear a good one.

I'll be damned, I thought myself that everything GBM said above is the
way I saw the thread as well, and please, those who feel the same go
ahead and pile on.

First I'm gonna say that I've had to make use of the mods a couple of times
on a couple of matters and thank them for helping out, but this is just
completely uncalled for. In your infinate wisdom why in hell was this taken
away, I even spoke up a couple of times to direct the thread back to its
original topic to hopefully sway away from some minor flaming that went on.

Are we not all adults here and are we not free to speak our minds when it
comes to the safety concerns for our fellow pooners and SP's as well?? Education on this subject yes at times seems
redundant and trivial but in this case I believe it warranted full exposure
to the reality of some pooners who actively seek BBFS!

I too am waiting for a good one GBM and thank you ( I think) for pointing
out that the thread has gone missing. Has it been possibly taken away for
"cleansing", "deletion" whatever the fuck you want to call it.

This is getting just to damn ridiculous !!

I'm on the wagon too. BBFS is certainly a contentious issue, but aside from one poster making some vauge, unsubstantiated claims it seemed pretty well behaved. If nothing else let it serve as a continual reminder that what you do may have repercussions for others, as the actions of those before you have an effect on you. And if you can't handle or prepare for that, you may not want to be in this hobby.

Geeez, it had that many?! Last I looked at it there was about 110.

With that many replies I would tend to believe that there are many
concerned involved in this hobby that wanted to openly explore this topic.

Good point Randy. There was not a whole lot of straying from the BB point. Personally, Hargow and I disagreed, but we both approached it from level headed, mature angles. As did most of the people who debated in that thread. So why yank a thread that, for the most part, was well thought out and civil? Mods, I think you dropped the ball on this one.

I have to agree. That had to be the single most interesting, informative, entertaining, and level-headed thread I've seen on this board. I think I actually commented that it should have been made sticky.

I'd say some acccountability is in order. Or not. Up to you. Your website. Does fuckin' suck to see it just up and disappear like it did. Maybe it was too big? Ate too much bandwidth? 150+ posts is a fair amount of text-based data surging thru the server...

Despite the fact I didn't contribute to the BBFS,I totally agree with GBM that Mr. Mod. needs a explanation why he has deleted the post!

In this particular thread,I am so glad to see most Perbites have the same moral principle that BBFS is unacceptable!

Chances are, the mods are just examining it, maybe doing some snipping. I think we'll see it back soon. Or if not, at least a "deleted thread" note or something. Last time a hot topic went invisible, it was back soon, minus a whole pile of drivel.

IMHO frightening the community is not good for business (the mods business). This isn't the first thread that touched on scary subjects that would not be good for business that dissappeared.

Ah well then, that explains it. By all means, let's not touch on anything that's important, relevant, informative and might save lives. What's "good for business" should definitely be the number one consideration.
