Actually, the writing's Japanese, and he's talking to his "Kare-Pan".
The word is a combination of Kare- (Curry) and Pan (Bread). So it's kind of a bun with Curry (and maybe potato?) inside. (Sings something like "I won't eat you, Curry Bun, don't cry") You can probably get some at T & T in Richmond or on 1st Ave in Vancouver.
