Police posting online PD undercover in hotel rooms

Hey I have a question. Has there been any instances where police has posted as a sp and when you show up at the hotel room they are waiting. I was in Alberta and talking to a girl who told me about this happening in Manitoba.

I was just concerned if this was happening here in Vancouver - lower mainland.

Any information would be helpful.

I believe Vancouver Police is not currently enforcing any sex work laws, except for stinging those picking up street-walkers.

As I paraphrase - They are not interested in actively investigating or interfering in anything between consenting adults behind closed doors.

I'm sure that VPD also enforce laws concerning sex with minors and laws concerning human trafficking. While those two items aren't specifically related to sex work, they are certainly intertwined.

Unless you have been living under a rock, you should know about the high profile busts of a bunch of idiots who knowingly sought sex from underage girls, it was a sting.

There have also been targeted arrests for pimps/slavers/sex traffickers. Number of arrests of consenting adults minding their own business? Zero.
