POF scams

I had a chat with a lady on POF and we agreed to meet in person. She suggested I can come to her seminar which I did. I thought I can invite her to go to a pub after the seminar. She thanked me for coming and asked me to invite more friends to her seminars , she was trying to find some excuses not to come to a pub.
I just realized that she was using dating sites to attract more customers to her finance business.

I think you had to at least entertain the possibility that she was uisng the dating site for exactly the reason that you stated. And therefore you should not have been very surprised when it turned out to be the case.
