He got to live a life that most of us (men) can only dream. I wonder what kinda place is reserved for him up there!
RIP HH! Your magazine was a big part of my self-pleasure sessions in teen years.

Yah a long run indeed
Playboy came out a yr before was born In 1954 with Marilyn Monroe as the first center fold. Even those she did not pose for Playboy.
I kind if think those pictures help make her the sex simble she was . Definitely Playboy lead the way in the sexual revolution.Guys actually could see pictures of some great breast lol..and later it was hairy pussys lol

I saw my first Playboy in 1966 I'll all way remember the center fold and cover.
The cover girl was dressed like a hippy Indian moatef .. with a head band , buckskin vest and minny skirt.as I remember.

I'll always thank Hef for those great beauties gracing his magazine such as 1974's PMOY Patti McGuire, breaking young boys hearts everywhere including my own. RIP Hef!

The guy had an amazing life and he also brought about Societal change.I cant fathom the amount of outrage and hatred he must have endured from militant feminists. The biggest motivation for his actions and drive was how he was brought up by his Puritan parents. He utterly rejected their view and went the opposite direction to be rewarded with huge success and a lifestyle most men can only dream of.

The one thing that CANT be said is that he is "going to a better place" :amen: as he pretty much had heaven on earth at the Playboy Mansion.

RIP Hugh Hefner you were a visionary with class, style, sophistication and damn good taste.

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has died at the age of 91, the magazine said on its official Twitter account.
What a life he had, RIP Hef

Most of my fave centerfold were canadian girls.
Shannon Tweed, Lonny Chin (went to my old highschool), Pam Anderson, Heidi Sorensen, Dorothy Stratten,

To what degree? Hefner was a savvy and extremely great businessman no doubt, but that's it. As for the "feminists" in that era they were the one espousing the ability to show their body, have casual sex, go on the pill, etc. Rosa Parks brought about societal change. Hefner was just a dude who picked a business most dudes would want to be in.
Hugh Hefner published "The Crooked Man" when nobody else would. Took a lot of criticism and told the critics that if it's wrong to discriminate against a hetrosexual man in a gay world, then it's wrong to discriminate against gays in a hetrosexual world. That's in 1950. He published "Fahrenheit 451" as a serial over 3 months in 1954. Published Arthur C Clark.

And he had a hell of a lot of fun. Pam Anderson has published how he gave her her start - and no, she didn't have to fuck him.

have to agree hef's influence on society is over rated, vastly over rated mostly by himself.

and its arguable whether porn is itself a benefit to society, the objectification
of women is a good thing or a bad thing,

its here to stay no doubt, gives a lot of pleasure makes money,

they say porn is responsible for the internet and cameras

but whatever, hef is a revolutionary in is own mind.

To me he didn't grow old gracefully, ended up looking like an old pervert chasing after young girls.

did he have the life, i dunno,
you listen to some of those air headed playboy playmates talk, ah

i kind of think we have the life, depending on your money situation etc,

a women who fucks professionally, i have had some pretty good times. rockets blasting and all that,
still am to be honest, exploring a lot of fetishes and role play with my sp.

i kind of think a women who takes her job seriously and is a professional would be better then
an air headed big tits bimbo, that goes oh im so pretty and beautiful ah

Even basic research will explain he took on a lot of human rights stances that were radical at the time. He published minority writers when nobody else would. He promoted and supported black entertainers. He also spent a lot through his foundation defending people accused of obscenity and morality crimes.

would say there is no question that Hugh
did cause some social change I think this was going to happen at some point in human history regardless of If Hefner was there to do it or not society always is in a constant state of flux when it comes to acceptance or rejection of sexuality .

Last I herd about Hefner . He was trying to sell the playboy mansion with the condition that the purchaser let him live in it until he died . I guess being able to download the images for free off the internet did not help sales.
