My question, how does it work in food courts? I can understand you can eat sandwich and pizzas with your hands. I was reading somewhere that federal government recommends to eat using your own hands.
but what about rice and noodle?
Should you bring your own forks, spoons and knives next time to you go to food court like reusable grocery store bags? And how to wash them? What about hygiene ?
I think if they are going to make it very complicated I would rather avoid eating at food courts in the future. I will save my money by cooking at home. Good thing that I can work from home now and use my own kitchen for lunch.

I eat in foodcourts sommetimes, and have decided that the best solution is to carry your own knife fork spoon chopsticks with you. I hate eating with those little spoons. Thanks for the reminder, I'm going to load up my bag while I think about it.

You can buy a Keurig for the cost of a few trips through Tim’s.

Also plastic ones that are not recommended at all.

The government wants to ban plastic bags and cutlery, yet so many products have a ridiculous amount of plastic packaging that isn't needed, or wanted.
I now buy plastic garbage bags for my homes small garbage cans, where i used to use the grocery bags, so no plastic is saved.
Banned plastic straws, which rarely got thrown out on the street, but i see those stupid masks all over the place while driving around, but they don't ban them.
The government doesn't give a shit about the environment, like Trudeau flying on a private jet to the climate talks, they just want to tell us how to live, while they waste our money, and live like hypocrites.

I sometimes see cutlery at garage sales, really cheap.
I'll buy some, wash it in the dishwasher and leave it in my car...if i need it, use it, and then just leave it on the table wherever I ate, be it a food court or some other place.
The dollar store still sells plastic cuttlery, and straws, so I bought some recently, and they even gave me a plastic bag to put it in.

I guess that's no different than going to a fancy cafe here - they usually give you metal utensils. I guess they figure someone who can afford an $11 latte and pastry isn't going to slip them in their handbag or stab another customer

Plastic K-cups are a blight on humanity. I love the convenience, and would tear off the foil tops (which takes some doing), rinse them out and put them in the plastic recycling bin. Otherwise they are eco-unfriendly and bad kharma. Tried the compostable cups, but $$ and have plastic wrap.

Then discovered the re-usable K-cups. I use a silicon cup with unbleached little paper filter inserts. Fill them with my favourite dark roast, clise yhe lid, and yummmm, as good or better than the disposable guilt cups. Now my keurig is green. No foil, No trash. 100% recycled consumables.

Those wooden spoons are a joke! They are a flat shovel. Try using one of those to eat a bowl of soup.....impossible! The wooden knives are no better. Definitely kiddie safe, as you cannot cut anything, other than mashed potatoes!

I'm all for the environment, but tools need to work........and the alternative DO NOT!
