Yet you continue to live here and pay taxes..................
Right, but I don't see any contradiction - if enough responsible citizens stop supporting the system, it will simply collapse. But I will clarify why I object to any participation in the upcoming federal elections.
For example, you and me want (just like the majority of Canadians) to get rig of the Conservative government, so you vote for Liberals, and I vote for NDP. We both sincerely believe that because we did NOT vote for Conservatives, our votes will definitely decrease their chances of forming the next Government. In reality the opposite will likely happen: since we voted for different parties, due to the vote splitting any of them may still get less votes than Conservatives. So as long as Conservatives get more than 38%, they can form the Government, and a bit more than 40% will allow them to form the 'majority' Government. Who cares that 60% or so voters did vote against them - they are still 'democratically' elected. And don't ask me how slightly more than 40% of votes can give you the majority - Canadians seem to have very low math grades in school.
This is not a democracy: it goes against the basic ancient law of any democracy - the rule of the majority. Canada's election system is obviously flawed and fraudulent, but the so called Opposition don't object it either. The possible reason for that - all three major political parties are the parties of extremists: it's very hard for them get overwhelming support, and they just find it easier to take advantage of the fraudulent election system hoping that sooner or later they will be on top and get their piece of the pie. None of the three major parties are truly conservative, liberal or social democratic. Instead we have fascist lunatics, mobsters and uneducated leftist demagogues. They do not have any intentions of representing Canadians - all they do is pursue their sectarian agenda.
In addition to that the most powerful politician (the Prime Minister) is not even directly elected. Why would you allow a person who at best got the majority of votes in his/her tiny riding to rule the entire country? Isn't it insane? To understand how insane it is lets recall the last BC provincial elections. Provincial elections mirror the federal system, so this would be identical on the federal level. The current BC premier Christy Clark failed elections in her own riding, forget about the province. Nobody wanted her, not even her own voters. Still she managed to become the BC Premier though she comes across as a village idiot and a puppet of foreign and domestic organized crime.
Why would you voluntarily participate in this insanity? Especially if you know your vote will likely do exactly the opposite of what you expect? The only solution I can imagine is to boycott the fraudulent and unfair system altogether.
