PERB Posting Problems - Any Advice?

I'd like to post an escort review.

I have tried twice now. Each time (after spending about 15 + minutes typing each time $!$@%^$&*^*)*)* AARGH), when I went to submit the thread, I was denied. While I was logged in at the time, I suspect I may have been timed out by the time I wanted to submit. But maybe it is something else?

Any ideas?

If there is a time limit, what is it? Can you adjust the time you have to post - I don't type fast enough to crank out a review to my standards in 2 minutes. Thanks.

Even if it isn't a time-out problem, why not write the review in another application and just paste it into the review page? Oh - and save it in case something goes wrong again.

Then ya wouldn't have to type it fast, you would just have to talk fast. Ok maybe not too fast.
Buy it at Staples here: http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=&webid=595670&affixedcode=WW

Compose it in "word"and then do a cut and paste.
Or, compose it on PERB, but copy the text before attempting to post the review. That way, if you're timed out, all you have to do is log back on and paste it.

It's safer, though, to compose a review in Word and then paste it into PERB. That's what I do, after learning the hard way, as you just did.

there is also an edit button ... so type 10 words and submit it and then use the Edit button to write the rest.

you can keep editing until you are done and don't have to switch between applications.

and it lets you go back and fix spelling mistakes.

and you can use stupid colours!

You should still be able to retrieve it by clicking on the "Back" button. Then, copy it, log back on and paste.

There is one bigger piss off hitrack, and that is when you type out answers to private messages and then find the user has a full mail box or has it turned off!

Even bigger piss off is when Scotty tells every member of PERB to PM Moderator and complain about anything, filling his inbox with complaints about nothing!

When you log in, make sure to click on the little box that says something like "remember me". You'll find the session seems to last much longer before it times out on you. When I don't remember to click on it, I get the same problem - damn thing times out on me after 5 or 10 minutes. When I remember to click on it, I rarely time out before finishing a post.

Try that and it should help on most posts. However for reviews, you are almost always better off typing it in another application as suggested above and then simply pasting it into PERB.
