Hi all. Currently on my mobile.. can't log on to perb from my desktop computer. I keep getting a notice from "Apache Server Test Page."

I've posted about this on ERS as well. If anyone knows what's up and how to fix, it would be much appreciated.

Word.

Same here.

I use a laptop. When I'm at home, my browser shows me the Apache server test page. But if I take my laptop to a internet cafe, or to my workpace, or if I tether my laptop to my smartphone, I can see perb just fine.

I don't think it's the browser or it's settings. I can switch browsers, and flush the settings/cache, and the behavior remains the same.

I think it might be the ISP. I use Novus when I'm at home.

Which one are you guys using when you experience this issue?

I had the same problem on my laptop when I was in Europe a couple of weeks ago. It works normally now that I'm back, so it may be related to the ISP.

Two Weeks and Problem Still Un-resolved!

it works fine with win 7 ultimate 64-bit, ie9, and telus.
Nothing to do with OS, browser or ISP -- apparently some ranges of IP's are being blocked/banned or something. As soon as I route my access through a proxy -- but what a royal pain in the derriere that is! -- I can get on. I hope our administrators take notice of this problem and get it fixed soon. Please help!

try to put your modem and router back to factory default. then re-set. five minutes later, turn them off. five minutes later, turn them back on. if it still not good, either your isp or network is doing some blocking.

Still Not Accessible!

Novus is the ISP that is built in to many of the downtown Vancouver buildings.
Are you saying some of our ISP's are censoring this board? That would be outrageous! But why would they bother -- one could think of many sites that are more offending than this. And is that even technologically possible on their part? Wouldn't it be more logical that it's a PERB problem?

ISP has the power to block sites. It all depends on your terms of services and the contract that you bought. Why not use Telus or Shaw? They don't block these sites. In China, ISPs block facebook and twitter.

I have noticed the same result with multiple devices/browsers/os-s on different wifi points... It has to be ISP related and not computer related... same devices on my regular networks connect no problem, but in a few places access to the site is blocked as the OP describes. Up to you if you want to contact your ISP or just switch providers.

So I bravely contacted the ISP and they walked me through some troubleshooting
Via cmd prompt ping the site and the ip add of site and it came back fine.
He assured me ISP did not block site cuz he accessed from his computer lol
I think the mods or webmaster has blocked a range of ip addresses and mine has been
Caught in this range. Mod or webmaster can you please see to this issue? Any advi e? Thx

Ask Novus if they use a proxy or proxies for apartment buildings downtown.
