Those of us who have followed politics for years will remember Bernier getting busted for leaving confidential files at his girlfriend's house. He was the Minister of Foreign Affairs at the time, a big role. The girlfriend and as I recall the pix was a bombshell) was being investigated as having ties to a biker gang, drugs etc. Spicy stuff for Canadian politics!! Bernier got booted out of Harper's government. He then took it upon himself to stand for Liberty, wrote a book made appearances etc etc you know the drill. Kind of a small time version (but better looking and infinitely more intelligent) than the cheeto. He is appealing to the LIBERTY and FREEDOM crowd. Anything that takes something away or puts a limit is in general the motto and the anti vaxxer crowd loves this shit. His country wide numbers as of now the eve of this stupid election have him at what about 6 and a half percent? These are the farther right conservatives. Add those back into O-tools numbers and you have a conservative majority.

This is definitely having an effect on this election.

Don't forget that Bernier ran for the leaderhip of the Conservative party and came in 2nd. Being the sore loser that he was, he decided to start up his own party, and the rest is, as they say, history. As it turns out, he likely would have been a better choice than Andrew Scheer who had an enormous amount of baggage (like being a dual American/Canadian citizen) and lost to Trudeau and the Liberals in the previous election, an election he should have won (which is why he is no longer around).

Another interesting fact is that it is generally believed that Bernier lost that leadership convention to Scheer because of his stance on supply management (he was against it). Being the son of a dairy farmer myself, I was, and still am, firmly in favour of supply management and so I was happy to see Bernier lose that convention.

Yes exactly . With the 6.5 from the PPC ...Trudeau would be retiring on our dollar and his trust fund.

I'm with you.
Farmers from Bernier's riding were sign up for membership of the CPC to vote for sheer. Friends and family on Facebook from the dairy industry were pushing hard to sign people up to tilt the outcome.

Attention seeker that doesn't have any shame to push an irrational agenda . He'll deliver a liberal majority on silver plate.

Whining about what a burden it is having to vote?
I voted early, took less than ten minutes.186,000 voted at advance polls in Manitoba.

The guy in the first picture fired my father and destroyed Canada’s entire world class nuclear program in a childish hissy fit.
Then he sold off the assets of the program worth billions of to SNC for $15 million.
Funny how that is completely forgotten about.
He also sold the Canadian Wheat Board to the Saudis.
Cons will literally do anything for a buck.

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
All I can say is $650 million to maintain the status quo. Thanks Justina!
I really hope that Trudeau does the honorable thing and resigns. But he is so arrogant he won't. No matter how you cut it, another minority will be seen as a loss and an embarrassment for the Liberals. I can't see how the knives won't be out for him after this.
Cheers

Conservatives, why its time for Trudeau to go.
Conservatives will win on fiscal responsibility. All they have to do is put the liberal government into perspective of the last 60 years. 60 years of liberals leading Canada into a considerable debt from the early 70s. It is time to be responsible with money.
Tell people the truth, its gonna be hard.
Need a stable platform, no stupid shit like making abortion illegal, get rid of escorting laws, get tough on crime especially violent crime (this crap about the supreme court and prompt trials - get rid of it; if people committed a crime they are on notice).
Get tough on drugs (hard stuff) especially drugs like fentenyl, heroin, coke, meth- caught selling it and you lose Canadian Citizenship and you are deported to the middle of the pacific ocean without a boat. You lose your house, bank accounts etc. After all Canadians don't want those type of people anyway in Canada.
Tell people they can practice their religion, any religion, as long as they don't harm other people.
They will have to raise taxes, I know no one wants to hear that, but it will have to be done, be forward with it, unlike the Trudeau tax on carbon increase for the gas tax (every one knows its a tax grab).
Promise all electric cars/vehicles will be built in Canada, not in another country. Make solar cells and associated equipment and make it affordable. Change the building code for areas (eg fire areas- brick or cement board with metal roofs with roof sprinklers. ).
Conservatives are based on small time businesses, stick to them. Manufacture stuff Canada needs, don't import, give Canadian jobs long term, not some Candy ass short term that knock the numbers down.
Knock the cost of safety equipment down.
Stick to science not mumble jumbo crap.
Cut down on raw exports, more manufacturing in Canada. Trees and metals.
Help the environment-do green shit- its what Canadians want anyway. plants more trees, more parks.
Reform tax system. Straight tax no write offs- less hassle, no wheeling and dealing.
Again I say its gonna be hard.
consecatives never tough on crime there part of problem.

And they wonder why they're polling so poorly with women.

As they said about Harper. The most secretive and invisible prime minister we ever had. Raising the retirement age to 67 without any discussion. The other c36*nt . Nuff said.

None but if I had to choose I would say Freeland. I may not agree with her but at least she seems to be ethical and have moral standards. I know a couple of Conservative MP's here in MB and even they admit she is reasonable to work with and is honest.

Unless the Liberals win a majority today, I'm 100% certain that the party will have a leadership review and Trudeau will be asked to step down before the next election, and very likely in the next year. Even if they win a majority, Trudeau has to know that the Liberals won that majority DESPITE him and not BECAUSE of him and will almost certainly resign of his own accord before the enxt election.

Well, careful what you wish for...if the cons cant win against someone viewed as so inept, what will happen when a real challenger appears. Youd need a way betrer candidate then

None of them is perfect but Garneau would have been a better leader for the liberal party. He doesn't have that spark that inflame enthusiasm maybe but I prefer a leader who can be Cartesian than a smooth talker who doesn't accomplish much

Canada would be in much better different place if Robert Stanfield would have been Prime Minister in the 70s .
We missed having a good Prime Minister because of a freaking football tumble.....
