I am always thankful Pat agreed to become the Canuck`s GM back in the mid eighties. He brought instant credibility and respect to a team that had floundered since inception. The team he built that went to the 94 playoffs was the best Canuck team ever according to broadcast legend, Jim Robson. The big Irishman will be missed and sympathies and condolences to his family

Last week I heard the news that he was ailing and this morning I heard he passed away last night.

He sure was a prominent figure in the hockey world.

RIP Big Guy.

I really admired the classiness that Pat brought to the Canucks. It was almost like we became a contender with his management team. Well the 94 Final is still a fond memory of mine.

You gotta admire a guy who had no problem laying out a player like Bobby Orr during his playing days.

A great hockey person and a better human being. I met him at the old Nevada Bob's in North Van and he took the time to talk golf and hockey with a star struck fan. RIP

Met Mr. Quinn when he was inducted into the B.C. Hockey Hall of Fame a few years back. Man just had an incredible presence - what everyone said today in all the TV interviews is true. And omigod ,yes, he can tell a story and make it sing. I will never forget that evening with him and Burkie going back and forth on the podium. Rest in peace "Big Irishman" - you are one of the good ones..

The rink will be a smaller place without him. 71 is still pretty young. I'll always Remember Pat the player, GM, Scout, Coach, coach mentor and one of the people behind bringing junior hockey "Giants" back to Vancouver. His roles through out the years in the NHL the teams he played for, the teams he coached, and managed, the international competitions with Team Canada. Pat was always a man of motivation and class. Sad to see him go.

2 time Jack Adams NHL coach of the year. 1994 Vancouver's run to the Cup final, 2002 Team Canada Gold medal in Salt Lake City, 2007 Vancouver Giants memorial cup championship.

RIP Pat Quinn.
I love big Irishmen, and I LOVED Pat Quinn. I saw the first headline on CBC this morning...he will always be a class act in my eyes.
