One of my biggest peeves

Every one can here his business. He talking as if know one us there ..

Of course. It not just on ferries it in pubs .. on busses..and other public place ..

One day, either the annoying people (using the phones in public places) will get it or the people who are getting annoyed by this stupid behavior will just accpet it.

Something tells me, that the latter (including me) is going to prevail. I had an idiot talking in this phone during a movie had me so riled up that I almost smacked him, luckily the lady with him took the phone away from him.

For some reason, some people still think it is still a show off to have a cell phone and to talk business on it publicly. Arrghh...

I see the ferry ride as a good time to catch up on phone calls. I am observant of others and tend to hang out in a hall way or out on deck so I don't disturb them. If the lounge is fairly empty I will make a few quick calls there too.

Again, I don't want people to know my business nor would they even care so I tend to go off by myself.

Funny thing was I was sitting in the lounge a while ago and it was maybe 25% full. I sat next to this old guy who as nodding off to sleep. Right in the middle of my call he let out the loudest snore that people all over the lounge heard because I could hear their laughter. The guy on the phone with me asked if I was having trouble staying awake. ound:

There have been many times where i've thought you know having sex in a state room with a SP would be a lot of fun.

No bed just a couch/ table and a chair. Has a bathroom but no shower. Ferry ride takes 1.5 hours. Pay the lady for 2 and rock and roll. Especially with a lady heading over to Victoria for the weekend. On your or heading home after being in Vancouver. Yummy

I thought about doing that once when I lived on the island.

BC Ferries does like to reserve those quarters for travellers who are infirm, are under care of a care aid and the like. I have used it for transporting an elderly relative from the Island back to the mainland.

I can never understand why people talk any louder on the phone than they would to a person sitting across the table from them. It's idiots like that that force nice restaurants to instate no cell phone policies.
