One day into the new year, and members who think memes are polticial discourse already have clogged up 4 pages. Not sure who, if anyone looks at them, but it seems a couple of members are obssessed, and spend an almost all their time doing nothing but finding and posting them. Anyone else wonder how they have time for anything else, like sex, food or sleep?

I look at them each day. Some memes are good and funny or even make a decent point. Others just seem to be a continuous rant. But eh, sometimes I can go on a rant myself. I just wish that there was more choice in the emojis as many times, the choices don't fit the response I want to make. At the end of the day, it lets people get things off their chests and us, the readers, decide if they are at all meaningfull. But yah, just to read them takes time, much less post them!

Those guys might be getting the same companionship from meme threads with each other like gamers have. 🤷‍♀️ We don’t know the circumstances. Let assume that the meme posters are not eating, sleeping or having sex to the extent they could be. Then the question becomes “What are they getting out of it if memes take precedence over what biologists consider vital for survival and procreation?”

My take: As long as dudes on this platform aren’t contaminating the industry with more misogynistic or dehumanizing takes about women, SP’s specifically or the men who partake, I don’t really see the harm in people posting multiple pages of memes in a thread (political or not). Forums like this are always going to be a mix of humor, opinion, and the occasional rant — that’s kind of the nature of open discussion spaces.

*I tend to look at the inappropriate and naughty meme threads for comedic interaction on Perb.

You could complain about it, or you could just ignore it. Live and let live in 2026 sounds like a decent resolution?
I do ignore them. I was making an observation. Maybe you need to understand the role of a forum, as Bella Rose stated - "Forums like this are always going to be a mix of humor, opinion, and the occasional rant — that’s kind of the nature of open discussion spaces."

My ignore button works overtime in that particular thread. I noted it quite awhile ago, it should be renamed the HATE thread as it sure brings out the ugly. And I am not talking about the specific posts more of who is always posting there!
But as has been said, Fuck It, its 2026. I say let the fuckers post what they want - sure better than them taking it out on the general public.

Lower your expectations.
Anonymously debating politics with other anonymous people completely ignores the concept of accountability. Anyone can say anything without a hint of that persons credibility or lack there of.
This is a sex worker review board. You will never see me in any of the political sections.
You could end up wrestling with a pig in a mud pen only for the pleasure of the pig, who likes mud. What is the point?
It’s like researching Kierkegaard in the library of the Trailer Park Boys.
