There's the thing. From most people I know in the GVRD who don't live in Surrey say its a shit hole filled with the dregs of the lower mainland, however those who do live there adamantly defend it as being a great spot to live.

Certain parts of Surrey are bad for exaple: Surrey Central, Whalley near Gateway up till about 148th, the aparment block from 108th to 104th was featured a while back on Global TV, for being the hightest auto theft in North America.

The "new" areas with new houses generally isnt that bad. I guess it allc comes down to personal preferance on where to live. Pretty much a Surrey Girl for Life here
