I was nervous listening to this game on the radio at work but we pulled it off! The comeback kids did it again! I think we can take this now that we are going back to Van for game 5 and possibly game 7. I am loving the upsets in the other series'. Who thought Philly would beat Jersey? I wanted Buffalo over Boston but that doesn't look like its gonna happen. And Nashville about to wipe out Chicago? Montreal was lookin good but Washington is gonna take that one.

Yeah it looks likely the Sens and Habs are on the golf course in a couple days.
Probably only one Canadian team will advance to the next round.

Canucks have the home ice advantage and momentum back in a best of 3.
They are the bookmakers favorite again.

The Flyers being up 3-1 is not too surprising as they also won 5 of 6 vs
NJ during the regular season. It seems that they have the Devils number,
while the Pens have theirs and NJ dominates the Pens. The good news
for Philly is they'll definitely get the Caps if they both advance. But while
the Devils must win the next three, they only need to take one on the
road, and i'm hearing Carter and Gagne are out for tomorrow's game.

Montreal have matched up well with the Caps all year and with a few
breaks would be ahead in this series.

Hopefully the Preds take out Chicago so the Canucks don't have to deal
with them, although that would be a great series to watch.

That's a typical P*ssy attitude. To be the best you gotta beat the best. Kinda like hoping a teams 2 best players get hurt so you have a chance to win. That's a loooooooooooooooooooosa attitude!

bcneil, you related to hunny? Bizarre take on the game I must say

Not sure where to begin-would hardly say they "played horrible"....they did win the game against a very good LA team. Let's not forget LA just finished two points behind us and they were in a tougher division

So, Quick played better because of a 1% higher save percentage? stopping 30/35 shots = 86% stopping 30/36 = 83% Pretty slim margin man. Louie isn't playing his best BUT made two game saving saves in the third

Demitra-ya, missed an open net. Happens to the best of them. But I actually thought Demitra played with more intensity and passion than I've seen all year

Uh Sedin-can't remember the empty net you refer to but H Sedin DID score the winner....remember?

I do agree re the PK-we do need to improve on that, obviously. Thought the PK looked much better last night than the previous 2-3 games though

Burrows-ya, something seems off with Burr...I think he might have some sort of minor injury slowing him down.

All in all though I thought it was a great game. Not just cuz we won but because it was entertaining.

I'm not wearing rose colored glasses here but you seem like BJH and hunny to be one of these people who can't see anything good in the Nucks. If they won the Stanley Cup you'd say ya, but it took them six games.....whatever, enjoy the playoffs boys

I think he is doing a BJH impression.

BCNeil, you forgot BW, CH, sissies, sisters, meatballs, Swiss cheese and of course, the latest: sausage.

Culture of losing, worst fans in the league, thousands flying to LA to support their team, talk about LOSERS.
Art Ross winner, tied for 18th in playoff scoring, can't do it when it counts. Bla bla bla

Nah, it's a realistic attitude based on the fact Vancouver struggles with Chicago,
just like NJ struggles with Philly, as my previous post pointed out. NJ was not
fortunate to get that first round matchup with the Flyers. Every team has at
least one team they don't match up as well with and is better off avoiding in
the postseason if they want to go all the way to win the cup which, if you win,
arguably makes you the best, regardless of who you face on the way.

As for beating the best, who is the judge of who is better? If Nashville beats
Chicago does that mean they are superior to the Hawks? If so and Vancouver
were to face Nashville then they would be playing the better of the two,
wouldn't they? Which would make your point null and void.

Who is the best? The team with the most regular season points {Caps}?
The reigning champs {Pens}? The team in the finals the last two years
and on fire going into the postseason {Wings}? The top West team {SJ}?

"San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich, speaking before Sunday's game in Los Angeles, knows his team is the seventh seed in the West thanks to its two-game winning streak and wants no part of falling back into the eighth seed and a playoff matchup with the top-seeded Lakers.

"The ones that say, 'We don't care who we play,' they're full of baloney," Popovich said. "We're all trying to hide from the Lakers in the first round and that's the truth.

"Really, it's like, 'Who do you want to play in the first round?,'" Popovich continued before sarcastically answering his question. "Oh, the Lakers! We'll play the Lakers!"

It is a pussy attitude and where you are wrong. Pop is scared of the Lakers for one reason, his team isn't good enough to beat them anymore if the Lakers are healthy. A true championship team doesn't care who they play because they truely don't think anyone can beat them. NJ doesn't "struggle" with Phili, they were "beat" by a better team.

It's like a UFC champ who says, "I don't pick my opponents, I fight who ever they put in front of me" Meaning, I will beat anyone who they put in front of me..........if he can't, he shouldn't be the champ.....get it? It's called being a winner!
