I am thoroughly enjoying watching Leaf Nation on the roller coaster of despair, joy and now despair again. A rabid fandom is almost always toxic and some of the comments from the fans after the Game 2 loss were just "chefs kiss"
The great thing about having Toronto in the playoffs, is that I'll be happy if they win, AND if they lose.
Have you guys been watching the Kraken play. That's some team speed.

I'll say this that this year's playoffs have been interesting to watch. Been following the highlights mostly or have had a couple of games in background. I usually am a bandwagoner with the Canucks and will get interested in the NHL if they're playing well, so that'll give you an idea how long I haven't followed the NHL.
The Leafs, Oilers, and Kraken have been fun to watch. We'll see how the Leafs bounce back now that they're down 2 games ... talk about feeling despair setting in.
The big surprise so far has been Florida's performance. And I sure hope the Oilers don't go down 2-0.

Vancouver 53 F’ing years and never a first pick overall.
I’m not surprised the NHL method of announcing the picks were considered dishonest. I always had a hunch it was fixed. Maybe televising it showing how the picks are selected for first pick with full transparency might stop the rigged chatter.
Seeing teams like Pittsburgh get number 1’s Lemieux and Crosby and then going on to win multiple Stanley Cups in two different eras.
Edmonton four 1st overall picks since 2010 hasn’t equated to a cup, yet. It would be great to see them win this year.
Chicago hasn’t had a #1 since Patrick Kane was drafted so they must have felt way passed due to get another #1.

But back to regular programming it is getting pretty chippy out there. That two handed slash by Petrangelo at the end of the game tonight could get him a suspension.

I suspect he'd be more upset at a Carolina vs. Seattle final. While 38 million might be interested in an all Canadian final, 38 people would be interested in that one.
I'm definitely in the vast majority of hockey fans who do not like Gary Bettman. Little fucking shit that he is and the fact he makes 8 fucking million a year just pisses me off.
