Moneymaker

How about you ask Kendra about me right in this thread.

That might clear it up a little.

Are you sure you aren't the wierd one, you seem to like to bust down the boundries a little. having coffee, making "friends" with people you pay to have sex with...

Yup I am definitely the wierd one.

Sorry Praxis, it was Moneymaker who was complaining about SP's getting the "wrong" kind of significant other and then quitting the industry.

Kendra your comments are top notch and well said.

I agree with you 100% and that is because you offer your best everytime you do your job. Your service is top notch and that is why you always recieve good reviews and why you have many regulars who visit you.

I really believe that the complaint is not pointed or directed toward you, especially from the guys who know you, it is geared toward many of the other girls who want to charge top price and give shitty service.

Girls like you, and Vienna who posted on this thread do not deserve to be hasseled or insulted on your prices as they are extremly fair especially considering others you work with and in other parlours charge the same and provide horrible and rushed service. I also can probably make a bet that you both are one of the busier girls in your studio and have the most regular clients which is well deserved.

Thanks for providing great service. You deserve a compliment.

No you're hilarious!

You guys are hilarious.

If you think you are just buyng another product or service you are confused.

You can always just stay home jerk off and save money.

I am not defending bad service, and rip off prices.

But the "CARTEL" attitude is fruitless.

My favorite comment in the last while was from Moneymaker or Praxis who complained that SP's find the "wrong" kind of significant other, and then retire...

If you like your SP wouldn't you want good things for them?
Here we go again . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Back to the same ol issue of money. I believe the always great BigFisk put it best when he said his wage had increased by approx. 300% this year, with hourly rates of most SPs only going up $20 to $240 (on average). There are so many reasons why we charge what we do..... do we really need to get into it all over again? Maybe.

1 - We deal with some shady characters at times. Those who may have STDs, stalker capabilities, twisted personalities/fetishes/requests, rude people, unhygenic people, rip off artists, etc. etc. Just last week I had a super creepy man talking about choking me as he tried to force me to kiss him repeaditively.

2 - We face alot of judgement/backlash if anyone finds out/hears of/suspects what we do for a living. Yes we choose it, but does anyone else have to live a secret life and lie about their profession day in and day out? Living a lie is not easy.

3 - We need to get by in Alberta's ass-raping economy too. There are more contractors, etc. than ever before, but are they dropping their prices? Hell no, they keep going higher and higher. I have gave consistently good service for 2+ years, and my rate has only gone from $$.2 to $$.4. Don't I deserve a raise too?

4 - We DO pay taxes, and we have alot of expenses in this biz - hair, nails, tanning, make-up, clothing, heels, commuting to work, supplies for in the room, extra cell phones for you to reach us at, etc. Because heaven forbid we didn't keep updating our look/maintaining our appearance/service, we would get backlash for being "along the same lines as a chick I could pick up in a bar for free".

5 - You are paying for VERY intimate services. Go approach an average woman ( AND stranger) on the street and offer her $250 for an hour of her massaging you, letting you lick her, do digits on her, sweat/breathe all over her, have her give you a BJ, and then do fs. I GUARANTEE she will say no if she doesn't bitch slap you too.

The bottom line is, I could keep going. The emotional toll that this job can take on us is why the rates are what they are. A lawyer wouldn't go to school for 7+ years and put in extensive service to make $20/hr. Now I know we are not all educated like lawyers, put we do a job that most cannot commit the effort and patience to doing - and DOING IT WELL.

Most SPs enjoy their work, and if you don't, you will not make it or last. And quality SPs/owners strive to offer higher-end locations to customers to show the appreciation for their money. That is why a brand-new studio is being constructed. If you cannot afford or appreciate donating $$.4 to a girl who gives you all she has (literally), then maybe a lower class studio with lower grade SPs is where you will find the best VFM (in your case). You get what you pay for in this world, and I (alongside other SPs I am sure), am really starting to get offended that people don't think that me giving you 110% of all of me is worth $$ after I pay my room fee.

Kendra,

Thank-you.Your thoughts reflect what some of us feel and rarely say. Very eloquently stated as well.

I am not sure who it was on this thread that suggested that "you get a real job" but I would like to respond by saying........This is a real job......it is more real and at times more of a job than you give credit for and seemingly appreciate or understand.

I wish you much success in your new business Kendra..............hang on it's going to be ride and be well............(the more the merrier, I say!)
p.s your location brings back memories as I worked there for a minute a long time ago....

I am not disputing any of the reasons as posted by the ladies here. But the major factor for price increases is because the market will allow it.

If a person looks at some regional escort service websites in Montreal, New York, Chicago, Halifax you will find pricing both higher and lower than Edmonton.

We have a hot economy and lots of guys, and not a lot of working ladies which results in the prices climbing.

IMHO

Actually MKSTEEL I wasn't stirring shit up at all, I was replying to something MoneyMaker said, and I was posting something he had said in another thread, which indicates some pooners sense of entitlement to a SP's role as an SP.

I can't remember why you are pissed at me, is it becasue I made fun of you for fishing for compliments from Gabrielle.

Kendra you said it best. Read it boys, everything she said is TRUE. Don't like it, don't read it. Simple. But regardless, she explained it to a T.
ditto

I don't mind paying my fair share and beyond sometimes for exceptional service and the hour of bliss. I appreciate their efforts

My not so humble opinion.

We pay a fee for time not service.

We don't want a mechanical SP, and I don't think smart pooners want the same session everytime. I think some SP's are true pros in the sense that they can deliver a consistent session.... they know the little things that will always make a session acceptable.

I always think about the fee as a facilitator. I pay SP and she agrees to spend some time with me... and there is an understanding of the basic parameters of the sessions, but the real details are yet to be determined.

The exceptional SPs at least in the hundreds of sessions I have had are the ones that are able to make a decision to have a good time for an hour, and get the best out of me. To allow the physical chemistry to happen.

That decision is the key. Maybe the ability to represent that they have made that decision is what makes them a pro.

But I also think POONERS have a tough time when they don't buy into the YMMV mantra of the business.

There are some pooners that will not get the same mileage as me, with some SP's, no matter what they pay, it is just the way the business works. And I would expect that the same goes for me.

Here is one way to look at it.

Going into any session you can expect a personal mileage level of X, this variable can be determined by some research, probably a conversation with the SP, and some simple "reality checks" about who you are and what you bring to the table.... there probably isn't much you can do to increase that mileage... regardless of what MONEYMAKER or any other PERBERITE posted about his session with this SP, maybe Moneymakers unit is smaller than yours so he can go to Greece, or maybe he has a really long tongue and the SP really likes that etc. etc.

If you accept your max personal mileage is X..... you can only really do things to decrease it.... poor hygeine, bartering over rates, telling the SP that I hear that you do this in your sessions from PERB.

And do you really want to pay an SP an extra $100 so she will "let you " go down on her? Sorry, I like to go down on a girl, because that is what she wants, not because it makes her more money. And that is where the "fee for service thing" is a real tough one to get my head around.

Say what? Over 40 MPs in Edmonton and more visiting escorts than ever before.
Sounds like a hell of a lot of working girls to me.

A lot of those 40 studios you spoke of are now gone. Some sites provide listings, but when you visit their doors are closed because there is no one there, or only one lady is on shift.

The majority of studio managers are almost desperate to find and retain staff. Yes there are a lot of working girls but they have even more customers than before with deep pockets pushing the prices up.

In Thailand and the Phillippines there are a lot of ex-pat americans and canadians. Their complaint now is that with all the chinese, japanese, korean, money, demand and overpayments for sp services are pushing the prices a lot higher.

Not much different here except the oil workers with the big bucks don't mind paying. The local pooners don't have the income to keep up.

Just an opinion

I wouldn't go so far as to say a lot of the 40 + studios, because I know so many that have minimum of 10 girls on staff. Plus all the escorts... its a VERY high amount.

There are a few really crappy studios that are never open or might as well not be but Id say 80% are up and running and full of women.

Thats lots of women.

after reading this entire thread, i have some things to say.

Kendra. very well said. you and i have talked about everything you said, and i totally see where you are coming from. some guys just dont seem to give 2 shits about the girls in the business.

Kinosis- like Sandy said this is a real job whether you think so or not. the girls put up with more crap from guys than they need to. i whole heartedly agree with what she added.

TMF22- you are such a retard man. calling moneymaker a "weirdo". why? because he has developed more of a relationship with an SP than just the business aspect. at least he has the nuts to admit it. SP's are human beings as well. there is more to them than what they do fro a living. so i guess that makes me a weirdo as well for thinking of a few select SP's as friends.

there is more i wanted to say, but i do not feel the need to get banned!!!!!!

once again very well said Kendra. glad someone finally stepped up to the plate and said what a lot of SP's have been thinking.

See you soon my sexy little vixen!!!!!!!!!

The Facts on Edmonton MP's ...

are laid out at:

https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=73788&highlight

Bottom line is there are over 30 active MP`s. There is definetly enough Supply to meet Demand. Those who think that Supply and Demand principles can dictate pricing in such a personal business are being naive.

Pricing will always be controlled by the Purchaser and the Vendor will always have the right to price services as she (he) pleases. This is not a basic need that the Purchaser must pay, like housing, heating, food, fuel, etc. It is a discretionary entertainment choice, much like the cost of the car that you drive. There will always be economy compact vehicles and Rolls Royce`s no matter what the Purchaser`s think should be paid.

January and February are slow months in the industry. Many SP`s are behind their normal earnings levels. Charmaine`s (Kendra will be a Manager) new Studio at Jasper and 117 Street will increase the competition but there will be no impact on the Popular SP`s at the Popular Studios. They will still make an excellent living and informed Pooners will still get good value for their discretionary spending.

The less Popular Studios still provide a better living for the SP`s than most other choices available to them.

The assertion that an SP does not have a "real job" was never intended to mean that Pooners` have not recognized the points made by Kendra and others, it has simply been to state the obvious: SP`s have a choice to work in the Business or not. Just as Pooners have a choice to purchase the services offered, or not. SP`s chose to work mainly because the money is better than other alternatives available to them. Arguing that the fees are not enough is hypocrisy. If that is the case, raise the fee or find another job.

My two cents...T

poontanghunter ...

I visited that location last night and I think it is likley that building, but I do not know if it is the previous MP location in the basement.

Express Video and Steamworks 24/7 (Gay?) are already tenants in the building. Just East of the location is a Gay Club as well. It certainly does not look like there will be any zoning problems.

For the zealots that argued that Rhythm was too close to residential properties, they will have a "hey-day' with this location as it is surrounded by high-end downtown condos.

Trawler,

You are forgiven for the "naive" comment.

Do you really think that if there were fewer customers the price would be as high as it is? A check accross the country on pricing provides insight into the markets.

For examples are how the economy & demand has set the standards North America you could compare Atlantic Canada to Alberta. Variations in metropolitan centres will range from $160 to $350 for the same services with a similar quality of staff. Either Massage or Escort.

Your comments on "naive" perspectives are not credible when you examine the facts.

Other's comments about price justification because of clients hygiene, behaviour, or danger also are less credible. If this was the case the girls working the lower track would be the highest paid in Edmonton.

I personally don't care what the ladies charge, and more power to them getting the maximum dollar.

To understand what is happening in Edmonton you have to look at the context of the sex trade globally, and not as Edmonton pooners with deep pockets.

Prices

I am currently in Victoria BC. I reside in alberta during summer. As far as edmonton pricing is concerned it is out of line. Houses in victoria are at least 30% more expensive as is food gas and almost every thing. Except the cost of seeing a SP . The only girls I have seen that come close to providing the level of service the average victoria girl provides were angie and ariel. The price for half hour 130 going to 180 for the full hour. The hours 9-10am till late meaning at least 1am and as late as 6 or 7 am on weekends.Happy to be here the weathers great.Let the nasty comments begin.
