Steve kerrs also just a shinny hood ornament at this point. The car moves just fine without him.
With 4 All Stars, this team can roll their way to the Finals every year so long as they stay healthy even without a coach. Case in point, they were undefeated in the playoffs with Mike Brown. Their lone loss was with Kerr back.

Let's not kid ourselves, this is Mark Jackson's team!

The warriors winning a championship this year, is like a rich kid talking about how he worked hard for his inheritance/trust fund.

Whether you love him or hate him, lebron James is the best basketball player in the world and has been for a while, and you've got respect that. He averaged a triple-double, virtually played every minute of the finals, he did everything but turn water into wine, and he still fell short. It came down to LBJ and uncle drew vs team USA basketball.
not sure about your trust fund analogy here dude. winning an NBA championship takes hard work and dedication throughout a player's career.
all the top players workout in the off season on strengthening their bodies, mind and honing their skills.
u think KD or LBJ got that way by sitting on their butts? as Chuck would say, "C'mon man"!

however, I will agree on your point that LBJ is the best player in the league right now. I respect his work ethic.
it's just too bad that his mates (except Kyrie) couldn't support him. that was the Cav's weakness during the Finals…
Korver, bust. Love, meh. JR meh. Shumpert, pfft. Thompson, oy.
Cavs could still potentially contend next year but they'll need a significant 3rd player to compliment LBJ and Kyrie. who that is no one knows.

and btw, Steve Kerr is an excellent coach. he's just imparting what he's learned from his playing days.

I'm glad you brought up Chuck, he's an OG and I've got allot of respect for him and his opinions, here a select few about the warriors and durant this season:

July 4th, 2016: Kevin Durant joins warriors

July 6th, 2016: Charles Barkley: "Kevin Durant trying to cheat his way to a championship"... He went on to say"I think it’s a scapegoat move. Weak? You can use any word you want to. I think it’s a scapegoat move to try to ease your way into a championship. And let’s be realistic. Golden State is probably going to win a couple of championships in the next three or four years. Just like when they put that Miami team together, they were going to win a couple of championships because at some point it’s going to work and they’re going to get better. Because all these other teams are going to get weaker at some point also. But I think it’s kind of an easy way to get to a championship. I got no problem with Stephen A. Kevin is trying to kind of cheat his way into a championship. He’s a great player and he’s a great guy. But it would mean more to win one in Oklahoma City"

December, 30th, 2016: The state of the league, and the nba - "NBA is worst it’s ever been"... He want on to say "If you look at the NBA now, it’s the worst it’s ever been, in my opinion. Everybody want to use analytics, everybody want to shoot threes … But now, if you look around the NBA, everybody is trying to go small. We got a bunch of guys shooting threes who are not good shooters. Now we’re trying to to relegate the big man out of the game.

If you look at the big picture — and this ain’t no ‘old guy hating on the young guys’ — the NBA is the worst it’s ever been, top to bottom. We got one or two, good teams, and the rest of the teams stink." (I actually watched that one live)

Also Edwards 110% correct, Steve kerr took over a team that Marc Jackson helped coach and develop. Someone else bought the Ferrari, and Steve kerr is getting to ride in it.

Kerr is a seven-time NBA champion, winning three with the Chicago Bulls and two with the San Antonio Spurs as a player, and two with the Warriors as a head coach...not too shabby for a guy "just along for the ride".

Yes you're correct. He also took over as a gm, for bryan colangelo(perennial 60 win team) once he signed with the raptors, traded shawn shawn marion who fit perfectly in the fast pace, run n' gun offense, for an ageing shaq, whos style of play is catered for a slow tempo and post up game... which eventually lead to them securing a 6th seed the lowest in 4 years, and got beat by the spurs in 5, and him resigning pretty much a year later.

In conclusion, amazing complimentary player over a decade on two perennial champion franchises, did not fare well at all as a GM, but has now found his niche in coaching a skilled perimeter style shooting team and has all but come close to winning three of the last five championships. Couple more rings and might go down in NBA history as one of the more successful player and coach champions. Many of the greatest couldn't achieve this balance of success.

Even to this day, I find it fun to shoot Steve Kerr Jumpers in the gym!

Steve Kerr?

Stevekerr!!
I remember how effective he was in using screens to set himself free.
wasn't the quickest nor tall, just fundamentally sound b-ball IQ.
Paxson, Nash and Stockton also play a similar game to SK.

Bosch James Wade...not cheap, it always happens.
Bosch is a brand of appliances.

There isn't a comparison. Bosh and Wade win no championships without James.

But if it wasn't from Herculean performances from James and Irving the Warriors would have been back to back champs

I'm a big fan of Kerr both as a player and coach but he was no Stockton or Nash. Kerr had limited ball handling ability.

I still don't get all the vitriol towards Durant. How dare he leave a team he was arbitrarily sent to, in order to sign with a city he wanted to live in. Best of all, KD winning a championship is a direct slap in the face to OKC.

It's always seems racist when media and fans side with the loyal, white billionaire owner than with the black millionaire athlete, who should know his place.

My hottest take for the NBA: Westbrook leaves OKC as a free agent this summer to join the . . . Cavs for a one year deal, with a significant paycut. If there's one guy who is hell bent on beating the Warriors and is insane enough to make less money to beat them, it's Westbrook. I'm talking, he actually plays nice with others because he rather beat KD than get a triple double.

Alternate theory: He joins the Pelicans to make them a Big 3 with Cousins and Davis, or joins the Spurs if he is willing to kiss the ring of Pop.

I think these are the only team the media and fans would forgive Westbrook for being a hypocrite.

Westbrooks a free agent in 2018(player option), not this offseason. Also I don't see him joining the Cavs, there's a better chance of bron bron coming to the thunder... wait I'll up that, there's a better chance durant coming back to the thunder then that happening. It's not in westbrooks DNA, but then again I could be wrong.

This also has nothing to do with racism, Most of durants critics Barkley, shaq, jordan etc are black, and barkley/shaq work for the media(tnt).

Jordan also happens to be a black billionaire owner, who's been critical of durant, but has praised westbrook for his loyalty.

People ain't mad or critical of durant leaving okc, but it would have been nice for him to win there. If he signed with the Celtics, rockets, wizards. Etc. People(myself included) what have said, he needs to do his own thing away from westbrook it wasn't working out.

It's the fact he joined the best team in the world, and had been for the last 2 years. It doesn't take a rocket sciencist to figure it out. It's simple addition.

Warriors won 73 gms + they get a guy who allot consider the 2nd best player in the world = ????

Like what did you think was going to happen, they win 45 gms and finish with a 7th seed?? It was written on the wall they shit kick everyone
