I recently was bitch-slapped by Shaw because Sony Pictures complained someone downloaded a movie traced to my IP.
Usually I use a private internet access setting, but I didn't bother this one time and booya. The fuckers complained because an old movie I'd never pay to go see in a theatre, or even bother with on TV was downloaded.
My question is - if I shiield my IP when downloading, is it safe to remove the scrambled protocol once it's on my hard drive, or can they still trace it? What if it's still seeding?
Thanks in advance.
