Perhaps some of you are aware that Mistress Onyx has been posting information in various places online regarding Mistress Miko (eg. Twitter, Collarme, Craigslist). The issue has basically focused on their “business” relationship: Mistress Miko is no longer using Mistress Onyx space and no longer doing duo sessions with Mistress Onyx. One of the main reasons for this post is that I think that that kind of stuff should be worked out in private rather than posted publically. And because the issue is already in the public sphere I feel okay posting this.
I have sessioned with both Mistress Miko and Mistress Onyx. (I’ve also sessioned with many of the other pro-dommes in Vancouver and consider myself a seasoned sub blah, blah, blah). My opinion is that many of the things Mistress Onyx has been saying has been unfair and in many cases untrue. In fact, as she has been pointing one finger, three fingers have been pointing back at her.
Here are some issues that come to mind…
Use of photos
Mistress Onyx has been complaining that Mistress Miko has been using the photos of one of Mistress Onyx’s personal slaves on Mistress Miko’s website without his permission and against his wishes. Despite what Mistress Onyx states, I have found out that Mistress Miko DOES have permission from this slave. BUT… what is really hypocritical here is that Mistress Onyx continues to use images of Mistress Miko on the main page of her own website despite Mistress Miko’s repeated requests that she remove all photos of her.
Privacy and respect
Mistress Onyx has said “BDSM is about privacy and permission”. This is ironic coming from Mistress Onyx. I specifically know that she has revealed personal and private information concerning former a former client and so I know that she is not to be trusted. In addition Mistress Onyx talks quite a bit about some other pro-dommes in Vancouver and her very low opinion of them relating to some personal issues that she has with them. (No details will be given here.) In my opinion, privacy and permission are things that Mistress Onyx needs to reflect on seriously herself.
Unsafe/unhygenic play
Mistress Onyx has accused Mistress Miko of unsafe play and unhygienic play. It has been my experience that it is, once again, actually Mistress Onyx who needs to be careful concerning unsafe and unhygienic play. This is based on my experience as a client with Mistress Onyx. It is also based on my experience of sessioning with Mistress Miko in Mistress Onyx’s playspace. Quite frankly the place was filthy and I didn’t feel particularly comfortable sessioning there.
Lack of professionalism
In her online statements Mistress Onyx has questioned the professionalism of Mistress Miko. Again, I really do believe that it is Mistress Onyx’s professionalism that needs to be question – especially in the light of her public online statements. A professional would deal with these issues privately. It pisses me off that this has not been the case.
Yes, I have been sessioning with Mistress Miko recently and have posted reviews on here… so yes, I’m a bit biased. But the reason I session with her is because I trust her and she offers an amazing service as a pro-domme. She is a classy lady who takes the needs of her clients seriously and in my experience has always acted with professional skill and competence.
Mistress Onyx has said “Respect and trust is earned”. I totally agree, but in my personal experience Mistress Miko has earned mine, whereas Mistress Onyx has none of mine. Mistress Miko does not seem to be defending herself publically. I’m not sure why. But I’m posting this because I feel someone needs to say something.
