Running has been the most reliable antidepressant to me for the past decade but I injured myself again recently and I am waiting for at least one, possibly more, procedures on my left ankle. Hopefully this will be done this fall unless another Covid wave puts another halt to medical treatments.
I tried the resting and get some light exercise by walking thing, it didn't work for me.
