thank god for singledom and pooning.
I've had my share of relationships and heartaches in my 20s and 30's
and as I advance in years, the single life suits me just fine.
unencumbered and stress free.
I'm alone but not lonely. just have priorities straight.

I'm in my late thirties and have been able to semi-retire already. Had I been married, I'm positive I would have much less saved than I have now. Money aside, who wants to be "an indoor cat"?

Bill Maher's observation resonates with me.
I too am the last single guy in my group of friends.
while I get my share of ribbing from the boys, I think it's
still better to be single. I don't have kids to support and last,
an SO who may not be in sync with my friskiness and horny moods.
stats says most married couples rarely have sex after child is born.

semi-retired in your thirties?
kudos to you SirJimmy.

Men will never be able to compete with the barking feminist Chihuahuas in the noise-making dept. Just look at the lengthy noise posted above my post (no I didn't bother reading more than a paragraph of her lazy effort at trying to mock men's concerns).

I'm surprised to see just how many men are starting to push back these days -- especially the younger guys.
You've just shown how much of moron you are. Trust me, no skin off my back, dudebro! There's a difference between mocking men's concerns and mocking the Joke that is the current 'MRA movement'. (which if YOU weren't so lazy, you would have clearly understood!)

X2 for rook.

Lol @ man hater. If you can't tell the difference between a man and a man-child, we can guess what category you fall into.

Big lazy babies: they admit to not reading something then proceed to babble nonsense about what they haven't even read. Winners! Lol

This is exactly how I feel. I don't think it's just men that are avoiding marriage. I was engaged once and called it off. The life of settling down and babies and a white picket fence make my stomach churn. Not that it's bad for everyone, I just really like my life the way it is.

Oh shit, I got her riled up.

"Moron", "man-child", "Big lazy babie [sic]"? Well, if we are into name-calling then I guess I am free to call you a useless "cunt". Or is that "La Cunte en Francais".

Great arguments there. You're clearly intellectually coming out on top here. Keep going, less work for me.

And actually, you quoted my corrected post. No [sic] necessary ;)

Not surprised at all - the younger guys have seen (in some cases, first hand) the results of older guys getting burnt and they realize marriage isn't worth the risk.

Oooh George Clooney.. Great example! Not.

Haha

(Btw I'm not any more interested in marriage than you guys are. Fortunately it has nothing to do with the bitterness that seems to be the root cause of (some of) your aversion to marriage. ;))

I agree this thread is a lot more informative for sp's wishing to avoid the women haters.

Maybe I was naive but I'm still a bit surprised that several of them are actually outing themselves as MRA disciples.

Another beauty, I'm sure you've already heard this one before from Paul Elam:

"Should I be called to sit on a jury for a rape trial, I vow publicly to vote not guilty, even in the face of overwhelming evidence that the charges are true."

Real winners, guys!

interesting quote from Paul Elam, too bad you cannot understand what he is saying or choose to selectively pick out of it what you want. He is saying that for men that
are being "attacked and physically abused by women" to basically reply in kind. He is not saying to generically beat all women.
The smugness he speaks of is the fact that men are taught "not to hit girls" so the woman
is using that fact to abuse men because they wont fight back. But i guess you will say that its ok for women to attack men / and or it doesnt really happen. That men should just suck it
up and stop crying and being a "man-child"
And even funnier is now we know who not to book with as you have shown your true colours.

interesting talk about feminist hypocrisy. And surprise. the speaker is a woman

Yes I'm the insecure one, sure. Do you expect anyone to believe there's actually anyone decent who'd even consider marrying your man-child ass? You don't even have the brains either - clearly. It's pathetic if you're actually in your thirties.. Wow .

Out of context.. Lol OK whatever.

Wtf does it matter that the speaker is a woman? Is that supposed to be an argument? I'm very aware there are a handful of women involved with MRA's. (lookup 'honey badgers expelled from Calgary expo' LOL)

I love it.. Keep going guys. Over the years, many SP's have remarked how perb has a particular crowd of women haters. Now there can be no doubt. Let the dudebros, MRA's, 'red pillers' and douchebag PUA (pick up artists) stand up and be counted!

Let it be known that Perb welcomes abusive, woman-hating 'MRA's', I guess?

SP's beware. Perb, is 'this' really the kind of image or community you want here?? Pretty unfair to the majority of decent men and human beings here to have this trash tarnish the site IMO.

AGAIN:

" AVFM was included in a list of twelve websites in the spring 2012 issue ("The Year in Hate and Extremism") of theSouthern Poverty Law Center's(SPLC) Intelligence Report in a section called "Misogyny: The Sites". The dozen sites were described in the report as "women-hating" and "thick with misogynistic attacks that can be astounding for the guttural hatred they express"."

Just watched the video. Nice to see a strong, intelligent woman school the "snotty little feminist" who just could not comprehend what was being said. If that Bijou character is the dominatrix Bijou St**l (her posting style and the "mug shot" on her site certainly do suggest the same hateful person), then she is just like the 2 little girls mentioned in the clip. But has grown up (physically, at least) and is now profiting from this man-hating by beating/degrading men for a living.

After listening to a dominatrix like the Canadian civil rights hero Terri-Jean Bedford speak, you can tell that Terri is by no means a man-hater like Bijou. Terri probably does it for the mens' pleasure, Bijou for her own. Just look at Terri's kind face:

Not only do they split all assets aquired during their marriage, they are both responsible for the debt aquired during the marriage. Pensions on both sides are devided for the years that the couple were together. The greater income earner pays child support. It doesn't seem like too many relationships that are single income anymore, usually both people work.
The greater income earner isn't the one who pays support, it is the non-custodial parent who does.

Aren't common law spouses the same as married couples when it comes to splitting up? Aren't couples automatically common law after a year? two? of living together? Isn't child support totally unrelated to marital status?
No, there are differences, particularly with respect to assets brought into the relationship rather than acquired during it.

A marriage is just like a business partnership. What is part of the business belongs to all the partners according to their share (50:50 in the case of marriage), so when it dissolves it gets split up that way, or in accordance with the respective obligations over and above that.

If people don't like that idea then they shouldn't get married, or at least get an agreement about who owns what in the form of a prenup prior to entering into the contract (note: in order for a prenup to be valid, it has to entered into as equals, so you have to be careful as to exactly how it is done).

Indeed. I was married once to a woman who had serious anger issues along with other undiagnosed mental illnesses who would fly into a violent rage and attack me literally for little to no reason or a made up reason her voices were telling her. I was brought up with all sisters in my family, and being the only boy was tough...I have respect for the woman who is strong and courageous, taught not to hit girls no matter what...etc...but when it's women who put down men for voicing our emotional damage that women have caused in our lives, not to mention the violence men experience from women, belittling men who experience spousal abuse that makes me start pointing the hypocrite finger...

Viuolence against women is a big issue. So is violence against men...mental abuse, physical, emotional blackmail. And to hear and read women blasting men who air out these concerns is just fucking ridiculous. Seems with some women, that is. Not all. The two escorts here who have replied with more insults and damaging remarks are two great examples of what I'm talking about. There are no men's groups to talk about spousal abuse and other issues surrounding it. So, ladies...pull your head out of your ass and realize just how horrible and unattractive you are now for even joking about it, and how much of a hypocrite (or however you spell it) you are when on one hand screaming how horrible men are to women, then on the next spouting bullshit like I've just read. Shame. Seriously...think on that.

ok. Why are there women in this MRM of which you state hate women. Do these women also hate women? I guess they are misguided fools of the patriarchy and are in need of re-education. Or is it that they see the danger of Radical Feminism and its lies?

I had a look at these Honey Badgers. So they get kicked out of an event for no reason. The Honey Badgers are seeking legal redress against the Calgary Expo. They had a booth at this expo and i quote

"On April 17th 2015, the Honey Badger Brigade was forcibly evicted and our booth ordered removed, despite our operating well within the rules of the Expo and its policies of conduct. We were not given a chance to dispute the alleged complaints. The organization violated its own stated policy in the process and has released conflicting claims regarding its reasons for our removal."

"Those claims indicate that we were removed due to our Men’s Rights Activism and unpopular view of modern feminism. Therefore it is our belief that the actions taken by the Calgary Expo staff were of a political nature and contravene the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, in particular freedom of conscience, freedom of thought and freedom of association."

Now imagine the uproar and outcome if a group from the MRM did this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAR...Fuyp8aq2A&annotation_id=annotation_3966869689

outside of a conference for feminist issues.

If the MRM posted on Twitter with the hashtag #killallwomen it would be bedlam yet its ok for Feminists to make a hashtag #killallmen

"If a group of men – or worse, a group of MRAs – would’ve done something like that, the entire society would have demanded their heads on the sticks. Yet feminists can get away with virtually anything – from making a mockery out of genital mutilation to outright calling for the extermination of the male sex” he said. “Some countries put people in jail for even saying something positive about the genocide of Jews – yet when it’s men as a sex, anything goes. If this is not cultural misandry, I don’t know what it is”
