Megathreads

I'm wondering if here's an appetite in the community and from the mods to consider making it a convention to review only one provider per thread. Over the years, we have accumulated these megathreads with a dozen or more different SPs being reviewed/commented, and it makes it difficult to find them later.

This is mostly an issue for agency/group reviews. For example, searching for pretty much any carman fox sp will return 4 or 5 "Fox reviews" threads, and you have to go through page after page to find mentions that may or may not apply to the sp you're looking for.

For prolific pooners, I suppose posting 5 reviews in one thread is easier, but I think it breaks the flow of conversation about a particular experience. The threads tend to get pretty noisy.

Sorry if this sounds rant-y or what not... It's an idea and I wanted to put it out there.

Sorry, I like the mega threads, as they provides a differential perspective of multiple pooner-tunities from a consistent perspective. The sp’s referenced will still hit on your search, and hey, let’s face it, this hobby is all about discovering YOUR own gems in the big ‘ol pooning treasure chest.

Let me see the whole damned chest I say. Have faith in discerning Perbites to extract their own pearl necklaces from the gold and shiny booty contained therein. When a reviewer cracks the lid on their own personally experienced treasures, and has the courage to share it with his fellow Perbites, I say Halleluja!

Haha, it's a forum.

By it's nature and by it's original definition as per the ancient Romans, it is where one comes to discuss, to share, to pontificate, to parlay, a panel discussion and generally a place where a bunch of horndogs can shoot the shit in relative safety. I also say let's have the full monty, and let's discern away. Until we run out of discern-ment or the Mods say "enough fellow perbites".

Have you tried using the search function? I regularly search my name to see if people are talking about me, and every instance shows up, even if it’s buried in a thread 😘 search is your friend

I understand what you are saying. But it is not realistic. Realistically, perbites will comment on the thread after a review is posted. Sometimes these replies can be pages if there's a flaming war. So, even if we do one provider per thread, once there is trolls in that thread, the flow will be interrupted and the flaming war will take over the thread. And what's worse now is that you can't just abandon this thread and open a new one, because that will break the "one provider per thread" rule. For your idea to work, you are asking the mods to put in extra work to clear trolling comments, and I don't think they will be happy about it. Right now, the mods can simply close the thread when the flaming war gets out of control. When you only allow one provider per thread, the mods cannot lock the thread otherwise they break the rules.

If you apply to become a moderator and are willing to put in extra work to maintain the quality of the threads, then it might work, otherwise I don't think so pal. Lol

Also... I personally prefer to write my own experiences separately instead of adding on to an existing one, so I just take extra time to look for what I need. That's it. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Lastly... "Over the years"??? I thought that any review older than 2 to 3 years will automatically become irrelevant, and you get banned if you comment on those threads too. FYI

Hah. Thanks, but I'm not sure you understand the issue.

right....like you're looking for a well-reviewed Fox provider but you don't actually know her name? yeah I see that could be a frustrating issue
It can get confusing when multiple providers are discussed in the same thread. Perfect example, a recent one where someone thought you were being referred to as "iffy". Of course, it wasn't you, but you could lose potential clients because of it .

No. A specific fox. Search by name. E.g. "Kelly fox" will result in a few multi-page threads "Fox reviews past and present" thread. Her name is mentioned in multiple pages, most of which are not reviews. Getting the actual reviews takes a bit of work.

Anyway.. it doesn't sound like people see the value in this, so.. what can you do.. o_O

Don't be too hard on yourself. I agree with your idea, and I'm sure there are others that do, too. The problem, as has been mentioned, is that these forums are open, and... different strokes for different folks. :)

I like the idea of having one thread per SP, but what ends up happening if that members end up adding other SPs to the thread. Toward the end of such thread, it's hard to figure out who the members are referring to. As an example, it was almost impossible to read a thread on a specific Kgirl that wouldn't end up been a discussion/comparison to Candy. JMTC.
