to shut 'er down for awhile. I must echo the sentiments of LAG from a week or two ago. I've been feeling the same way for some time now. My excitement level during sessions is just not there and my performance, particularly in the last couple of months has been spotty at best. For the last few months I think I've been a participant more out of habit than desire.

The point was really driven home to me this past week. I had a session with a lady whom I had not seen before and under normal circumstances I would have been as excited as a dog in a hubcap factory but, despite her best efforts, I turned in a shameful performance and was anxious for it to be over to save her from my pitiful company. I've read it here so many times about becoming "jaded" or losing interest but was always convinced that I was having fun and was doing it for the right reasons.

I have had some personal and professional adversity lately but I'm not an excuses kind of guy so I don't want to attribute it to that; besides I should be able to man up, adapt and overcome.

Without sounding like a total pussy (too late?), it's time to re-evaluate, take stock and decide if this whole scene is for me anymore or if it has passed me by. Sorry, I know this thread is self-indulgent and has been talked about before but honestly, I have no one else to share this particular part of my life with. :(

Take care Bro'. In my mind, you're on the path of outgrowing ways no longer useful to you. You may return but with a different mindset, or you may never return because you've found something inside much more meaningful.

I think it happens to us all, sp's and pooners alike. Take some time to yourself and you will know in time, what it is you want. Remember, this is the oldest profesion in the book, and there will always be a sp out there for you, when you return to this hobbie :) . Maybe you are looking for something more real, a girlfriend or something similar. In my experience I have found my dog to be a great companion, she's always there for me and when I have had a hard day at work or even in my personel life, she is always there to comfort me and cheer me up!
You seem to be a smart guy and you will figure out what you want in time, just be patient and listen to your heart ;)

Like kehoe, so was I a few years ago when I gave up SP's and became a full time cruiser. No comitment, no having to go through with shit because I was standing 2 feet away from her in her doorway.

I go out, buy a Joe, have some tunes on the radio, and burn up a bit of petrol. No where near 200 bones. Toss in a BJ and Mc Pukes, still way under.

Like I say and still say....my pooning is as follows. The cruise, the tunes, the coffee, and way way down is the chicks. If I see something great, if not, and my criteria for actually parking and getting out an all that jazz is rather high, so I may actually only hit 2 BJ's a month.

thanks for the kind words to everyone who responded here and by pm. I still enjoy this board, am educated and entertained by it daily despite the many twists and turns over the past couple of years. I am in a state of flux, or a funk if you will and am working some things out. I am grateful though that perberts care enough to pass on well-wishes and advice, that's what makes it a great place to hang out. :)
