to shut 'er down for awhile. I must echo the sentiments of LAG from a week or two ago. I've been feeling the same way for some time now. My excitement level during sessions is just not there and my performance, particularly in the last couple of months has been spotty at best. For the last few months I think I've been a participant more out of habit than desire.
The point was really driven home to me this past week. I had a session with a lady whom I had not seen before and under normal circumstances I would have been as excited as a dog in a hubcap factory but, despite her best efforts, I turned in a shameful performance and was anxious for it to be over to save her from my pitiful company. I've read it here so many times about becoming "jaded" or losing interest but was always convinced that I was having fun and was doing it for the right reasons.
I have had some personal and professional adversity lately but I'm not an excuses kind of guy so I don't want to attribute it to that; besides I should be able to man up, adapt and overcome.
Without sounding like a total pussy (too late?), it's time to re-evaluate, take stock and decide if this whole scene is for me anymore or if it has passed me by. Sorry, I know this thread is self-indulgent and has been talked about before but honestly, I have no one else to share this particular part of my life with.
