Not only that, he was really docile. Didnt seem to have a violent bone in his body. Not one flash of aggression or anger at anytime, no matter what happened to him his demeanor never changed. I just cannot visualize that kid doing what he was charged with and all the evidence shows that he was screwed--especially by his scumbag first lawyer who should have been disbarred and sent to jail himself for railroading his client.I don't think the kid was guilty. I think the kid is an idiot. Not a shred of evidence. Not a shred of DNA. Nothing. Just a confession. Which I believe was forced out of him. Bottom line. The kids not that bright. But that's not his fault. He was just born that way.
Here is an interesting counter view:I saw the entire series when it first came out and I still feel outraged at the unfairness of it all.
It truly disgusts me to see how scumbags with positions of power and a corrupt agenda can so easily ruin someone's life with no regards and respect towards anyone. Sickening and scary!
Since the docuseries came out, petitions have been signed to exonerate Steven Avery but I doubt it will do any good.

Yeah but--its Nancy Grace. When has she ever not stuck up for the prosecution being a former DA herself? She's mostly basing her opinion on a 10 minute phone interview and backing the position of disgraced ex prosecutor Ken Kratz. Its more like she's milking the show to get her mostly forgotten name back in the limelight. Here is an interesting counter view:

Thanks for sharing, Hugh. And yeah this is TMZ but--this interview with Len Kachinksy, Brendan Dassey's scumbag lawyer who should be behind bars for his complete incompetence or willingness to frame his own client is very telling in its evasiness. They ask good valid questions and his responses are reprehensible especially his excuse for not being there when Brendan was interviewed by the cops the second time.

:nod:Just by the smile of Dasseys original lawayer. You could just tell he was a pos.
They are not necessarily suggesting that though it is a possibility. I noted in a previous post that a Milwaukee columnist listed 4 other suspects including family members of Avery who had access to the salvage yard that day and had criminal records but the defense was not allowed by the judge to bring up other suspects during the trial.I'm just wondering, so basically are they suggesting the police KILLED that woman and framed him? And then Steve blamed his brothers, its all really crazy!
I am not finished watching it yet...its like hours and hours of TV to watch!
I agree. I'm reasonably certain the police didn't kill her, and I'll almost certain that they planted evidence against him, and I'm 99.5% certain that the 16 year old kid had absolutely nothing to do with it.The Defense made it clear they were never suggesting the cops killed the victim (in fact, it was only the Prosecution that made that implication in their closing argument). The Defense case was primarily that the cops automatically decided Avery was the murderer and then planted evidence to support his arrest and conviction without investigating other suspects (exactly as they did in his first wrongful conviction). I have total admiration for the tenacity and integrity of the Defense team but basing their defense on the cops planting evidence was never going to stick with the jury as it simply couldn't be proved. Saying that, given they were not allowed to offer alternative suspects, they really had no other choice.
FWIW my personal opinion is that it was one of the relatives on the farm that did it. At least two 'witnesses' were out hunting that same evening - they would have had the opportunity, the firearms, and the tools and skills to butcher and dispose of the body. After that, setting Avery up was pretty obvious but probably worked way better than the murderer ever intended.
