Makeup / Cosmetics in advertising pictures - yea or nay

So I was walking down the street the other day, passing the normal plebs and suddenly there's this one lady in a lovely blue dress, heels, and enough makeup to tell she had makeup on but WOWZERS was she absolutely head-turner stunning.

Okay, makeup done right can really get you that TV-show-perfect 10/10 look. And I do see escorts (especially those with personal web sites) with what appear to be professionally taken pictures and chances are they were dressed and made-up for that occasion.

But maybe it's a real hassle to put on/take off so of the (admittedly few) SPs I've seen, none of them have gone to that effort and I hesitate to ask anyone to go that extra mile (although I'd love the experience just one time to see if it really does anything for me).

(1) Just wondering what people thought of advertisements with makeup and professional shoots versus, say, pics taken with a cellphone.
I'm personally leaning toward the latter as being more likely to be what you will honestly get -- sort of like WYSIWYG -- and it sets my expectations more appropriately.

(2) Has anyone seen an escort and been disappointed based on the ad copy. I'm not talking about bait and switch here. Just that the make-up and dressed-to-the-nines ad copy was what you saw online but wasn't what you got in person.

First of Yes to point number 2. The glamour photos kinda made me see someone that I found was not as attractive as I imagined although her service was outstanding. I did not repeat her though.

To answer your question, I think a mix of both of pro photos and amateur photos is always good. But very few girls have the eye of the camera. Often they end up taking photos of themselves with stuff (cigarettes, dirty laundry, toilet, toilet papers, stained carpet, even pipes ) in the messy background. That can be a turn off.

I prefer the sp not to wear too much make up when I see them, but a bit of touch here and there could not hurt either.

When I had my first photo shoot getting back in the biz I was really cautious about how I came across. I was specific about the make up, I wanted it natural, and the shots weren't to include any luxury items. Eventually I found out a friend with a (good) camera can take more authentic pictures of me and still capture the look I am going for. Sometimes I miss looking at my first website and all those old pictures but it's deleted now!

Yea to natural look!

When the girl steps from behind the door and I see her face covered in makeup I feel like turning around and leaving. Often I request no makeup but sometime I forget. If I forget then its on me to go ahead with the transaction.
Photoshopped glamor ads I just skip right over, not interested in finding out how much worse she looks compared to what she's marketing.

I always wear makeup, to 7/11, to the gym, to the grocery store, everyday makeup is my look and I wont change it for anyone because that's me. On the other hand, I am a jogging pants and T-shirt kind of girl unless you are meeting me for an incall date, then I spice things up:wink::wink:

Some people prefer that glammed up look. It's all good for some I guess if that's what she looks like when she answers the door.

But fake hair , a nose job, a boob job, fake nails and a ton of make up to top it all off?!?! Definitely getting into plastic doll territory imo.

I'm all for WYSIWYG so if an escort advertises looking glamourous then that's what I'm hoping for. Still haven't seen an escort who puts on wedding-day beautiful makeup, though. I'm guessing it's time-consuming to do it and touch-up if it's not already in their daily routine.

As for assorted body sculpting -- I blame TV and adult movies for that. It's hard otherwise to compete with media fantasy, so hard that there are studies and articles that link pornography with erectile dysfunction. They postulate that pornography gives you such a large shot of dopamine that "normal" sex partners just can't compete and some men can't get it up the same way. (So I'm on week 4 of 12 of pornography abstinence, but honestly it's so hard as non-pornographic advertisements are so darn close sometimes).

Anyway, after I sort out a Halloweeny October I'm gonna try looking for an escort willing to look glamourous for a date and see how that works.

With the caveat that you're experienced with makeup... how long does it take you to put it on / touch it up? I'm curious to know some stats before I consider asking an escort to go through the effort. Do you have to essentially redo it after a date?

It takes me like 10 to 12 minutes and I only retouch my lipstick for obvious reason..hehe

I don't kill my face with makeup but I do wear it.

Cameras don't take pictures, photographers do. A good photographer can take a great photo with a piece of shit camera.

Regarding make-up, that depends on whether the woman wants to look natural or high fashion, but a natural looking make-up job will hide blemishes and minimize glare without looking made up.

If an image is shot hastily and carelessly, with disarray in the background, it will give the impression that the SP is careless about other matters, such as hygiene.

what's the appeal to kissing a girl with chemicals all over her face?

This is exactly the thing that initially attracted me to my present ATFs ad. Cherise has a video with half her face made up and the other completely bare. She informs the reader that she doesn't generally wear that much but is happy to do so if you request it.
