No matter how people try and spin this deal, it's a pretty pathetic return (Horvat, Markstrom and Matthias) in the end for Luongo and Schneider. I thought Reggie Houle in Montreal was bad but Gillis I think has taken it to another level. Let's just hope he doesn't screw up trading Kesler and Edler.
Tim might just have to show Lou his Stanley cup ring, show him how "tiny" it is,lol. Glad too see Lou go back home, he was treated pretty crappy these last two years.
Matthias has never had a plus season in any NHL year. His best output was 14 goals and he was minus 8.

you forgot we are keeping 15% of luongos salary. Can you imagine if 2 years ago someone told you this is how our "2 star goalie controversy" would work out?

The two great replacement goalies for Lou and Schnieder have played almost a season combined and get yanked on a regular basis. Because they are big they must be good, because they are younger they must be going to get better, . . . dreams, and that is precisely why the Canucks will continue to flounder. Watch Kesler leave this summer for a couple of youngsters who "have a lot of upside" but haven't done anything quite yet.
