Why on earth would anybody buy a brand new V8 car and slow down at a left turn signal.
I had to follow this moron and kept breaking , I literally got red light.
Nobody in front of him as his turning ,he was going so slow, I mean using the break instead of speeding up a bit ??
Fukk, why can't these people get a wheelbarrow instead.:doh:

I think I feel better...lol

Glad you feel better.

However, you already know the answer to the question you asked. It's not about driving or knowing how to drive. It's being able to survive the crash, speed, and having the big V8 as a status symbol. Having said that, I'll leave this with you. Some of these big V8s don't handle turns very well, but in most cases it's the driver who doesn't know how to drive and just learned what was required to pass the test. Then the driver drives in a hideous fashion, pissing people off and cutting them off.

Nah, that might get you killed by some overzealous cop.
The better way is using microwave and laser technology by beaming a laser to the car and then immobilizing it completely by frying the onboard computer. lol.
Oh, and dont forget to have those James Bond type flippable license plates when yo do this. :D

Better than driving too fast. I just found out that the asshole who did a hit-and-run and killed two people at a crosswalk in my neighborhood got caught finally. I hope he goes to prison for a long time. Too bad there's no capital punishment in Canada.

Can't stand the idiots who play Fast and Furious on crowded ass city streets.
I enjoy motorcycles but lately have been leaning towards riding bicycles on the sidewalk to get away from it all.

Here in Vancouver, we slow down when we turn, because you never know if there is someone walking, usually with their earbuds or texting, in the crosswalk against the light. Or you may have a binner and his Safeway buggy cruising down the wrong side of the road. Or the driver may have only one hand on the wheel, because he or she is still texting. If you don't have enough patience for all the other idiots on the road here in the Lower Mainland, then you shouldn't be driving.....

There a maneuver I see here in BC that I've never seen anywhere else. As a driver is approaching an intersection and the light goes red, they will take the right exit lane and cross the street running perpendicular to their original direction. And continue on as everyone else is still stopped at the light.
If I were a cop and witnessed this I would throw the book at them with whatever I could charge them for. That maneuver is one for a douchebag only.

Bikes and Skateboards are the worst. They move fast and on the sidewalk until they pop out in the intersection.

Let's say my driving style is fairly spirited. I get frustrated too when some very old person is in the fast lane or worse in the HOV lane and not even doing the posted speed limit. I followed this old guy doing about 15 k under the speed limit for about three km on the weekend and when I had a chance, I passed him on the right to get up to the posted speed limit. I must have lit a fire under his ass because he came after me nearly hitting me at one point. Finally at a red light I confronted him and asked him WTF his problem was etc. All he could do was lay on the horn and give me the middle finger. I took down his plate number and phoned the RCMP non emergency line and reported him as a dangerous driver who should be subjected to a driving test. My guess is he has some sort of dementia and his family has not had the guts to take away his licence or car. The RCMP now work closely with out patient psych services and will most likely attend his residence with an RN for an assessment.

Beverly Hills. In the Kitchen eatin' vittles.
They drive like retards over there so they would be in good company.
Amen Brother! Having spent a fair bit of time in Eastern Europe right around and after the break up of the USSR I tell people stories of the crazy drivers all the time.
It was so scary at times, we had one guy who was normally very fat and lazy, the kind who would take an elevator down 1 floor or drive a block to the corner store. About 1/2 way through one of our trips he would actually walk if we were only going a few kilometers rather than get in a car with one of our drivers.
That said, over 4 years and 100's of car rides not one accident. Maybe they do know what they are doing? LOL!

Food for Thought, has anyone watched Canada's Worst Drivers ? They are so bad that it really makes you wonder how the H....... they got their licence.
Many Years ago while traveling over the malahat, big hill between Mill Bay & Victoria for those that do not know, there was a group of about 10 to 20 of us stuck behind the typical driver that wants to be in the lead. He would speed up on passing lanes & slow down on singles. I finally got behind him & noticed a for sale sign on the back window, great, as I was new to cell phones I figured w.t.f. lets call. Sure enough he answered so I not so politely asked him to get off the road to let everyone by. My Boss at the time was only concerned about one thing, "did you have the Comapny Sign's on your truck"
I still get a chuckle when I think of his expression as I drove by.
Cheers

The Malahat is a dangerous highway and if you are not a confident driver, you should not be "leading".

For me, Canadas Worst DRiver made me realize that I COULD learn to drive. AFter watching all four seasons during a TV marathon one weekend I decided I would try and I learned to drive on the Island and it worked! I had my license until I moved back to Vancovuer then it was only a few months before I realized I could not drive here.

I absolutely love driving here, and I try very hard not to let anyone spoil my day out there! One of the things I learned from being overseas is that we have a lot more road rules here, and foreigners just aren't typically used to it! I use my best driving skills to get around the problem-children! It's good Alzheimer's prevention!

Every once in a while, if I just can't get around a terrible traffic jam, I'm thankful for the extra time to listen to my music. Confession: I have been known to text while sitting, waiting (apologizing for my tardiness, blaming Vancouver traffic)!
