Hey guys. I love a good all you can eat spot. I usually fast all day and enjoy them twice a week. List your favorite spots. Here's my list.

-Happy lamb hot pot(Franchise multiple locations)
They have good lamb dumplings, and shrimp balls unlimited.

-Chong Qing hot pot (Nelson kingsway) they have unlimited bbq lamb and bbq chicken skewers.

-Mr A's Patio restaurant buffet(inside Newlands golf course langley)
They have all you can eat crab, prawns, salmon, sole, chicken, for seafood Thursdays.

-Illukjo sushi and bbq all you can eat (Fleetwood)
They have all you can eat sashimi and beef ribs cooked fresh to order along with many other dishes. I usually bring my own hot sauce for the ribs lol.

-Shabushen dinner time
All you can eat sashimi and Korean bbq along with many other items. You cook the raw dishes your self. I usually order 40 peices of sashimi and lots of beef ribs. I bring my own hot sauce. Also when you get tired of sashimi just throw them on the bbq.

-silver reef casino buffet(Bellingham). It's seafood festival every friday unlimited crab prawns, salmon, lobster ravioli, the prawns are cooked fresh to order in front of you all you can eat. Many other good dishes.

-Tandoori Flame buffet (surrey delta)
Go for dinner time there's a chef at each station cooking fresh everything. There's even a real india Naan fire clay oven with a Naan chef who makes them fresh in front of you.

Also

Rio Brazillian Steakhouse all you can eat. (Coquitlam)

I prefer the coquitlam location. Best to go for dinner time also go around 8:30pm as the best cuts if meat come out around then. The beef brisket and beef ribs.

Uncle Willy's at Metrotown for nostalgic comfort food, you can't really find Western style buffets in Vancouver anymore. Last remaining location.

Not a gastronomic temple. But real ham on the bone on weekends, real mashed potatoes, great fried chicken, delicious soft serve with chocolate syrup and generic RC Cola.

Another place is China Kitchen. They used to have locations in Langley, Maple Ridge & Coquitlam. Now only the Maple Ridge location is left. Went there about a month again and food was good as ever. Just happened to have re-opened the Buffet due to the last 18 months of Covid. Worth the drive out!!!!!

That place is excellent and their takeout is right on the money as well.

There used to be a restaurant in Alberta, Ernie-O's, that had a Sunday brunch. It had a very large variety of food.
One Sunday, 6 of us guys went in for brunch. They had BBQ ribs. We cleaned that out and devoured it.
They restocked that tray. We scooped that all up and devoured it.
They restocked it again. We cleaned it out yet again. The cook came over to our table to see what we're up to. Sees 6 big guys, and a tray in the middle of the table piled high with bones. Oh, ok. One of the guys asked to marry her. She laughed, as did the manager.
The restaurant never stocked ribs for Sunday brunch again.

But the old days Vegas. Buffets back in the good ol' days were priced perfect. Now a days you pay way too much
They are most likely priced just right because of the excess of a small minority. No one has a body requiring 3 or 4 overflowing plates to function unless you're Andre the Giant or working physically at -40C for 12 hour shifts. We all end up paying the price ...

There is so much food waste, I’ve seen people there bring 4-5 plates full of food to their table and eat a few forkfuls and leave it all sitting there. It’s amazing how entitled some of these folks can be, like they want to make that place pay because they want to get their money’s worth, it’s sickening.😡

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. Really don't like people taking so much food and then not eat it, there are still too many people out there desperately need food. I like the idea of some restaurants saying the customer will be charged for taking excessive food, but I wonder if that policy is ever enforced.

Ever been on a cruise? Mainly an American one? The sheer gluttony at the Lardo Cafe (open buffet) is a sight to behold.

Back home in Winnipeg, one joint that stood out was the Royal Fork Buffet. I know, fitting name for that kind of place. I remember it being really good, but I haven't been in years so it could be vastly different than I remember.
