Over 2 hands plus a mouthful big
Seems like a run of bad luck (Injuries to 2 QBs) and good execution by the Eskies ensuring that the Green and Gold will be winning this game. 38-13 38 Secs left in 3rd quarter.

there are suddenly many Ti-Cats fans in this city.....until Sunday's game is over.

I was there last night...if it had been a fight, they'd've stopped it, brutal.

Even if the Leos get in via the cross-over,it'll likely be just another arse-kicking,
2009 has not been fun.

this could be very interesting...

first the Blue Bombers s**t the bed at home on Sunday...

that was break number one for the Lions...

break number two was drawing the Ti-Cats in the Eastern semi...

arguably the worst team in the playoffs...

no folks, dare I say...

are the stars aligning themselves right;)...

I believe that BC is facing Hamilton and Edmonton is facing Calgary.

I will cheer for BC and Edmonton. 20 minutes to kickoff and friends arriving shortly! GTG.

Yes, BcMod is a CFL fan.

Who knew?

great win for the Lions...

so far so good...

only in the CFL, but who would have thunk it, the Lions are in the East final...

backing in with an 8-10 record and than being fortunate enough to draw the Ti-Cats in their first playoff game...

they may be a team of destiny with a storybook ending to this season...

that's if "Brainfart Buono" doesn't decide to re-invent the wheel and sit Printers in the next game...

sad to watch in so many ways...

should be the last game Buono coaches in the this organization...

terrible decision maker and terrible judge of personnel...

he has his wins record...

Braley should take him aside, thank him for his efforts and tell him to move on...

Too many injuries at key positions, a dominate Montreal team=ASS KICKING. Should be a great Grey Cup. GO ROUGHRIDERS!

from an emotional point of view I'm pulling for the Riders...

if you look at this game logically though, Montreal should win...

they have been the best team throughout the season and deserve to win...

also, have to say I'm a big fan of Marc Trestman...

he will be a head coach in the NFL one day..

Bittersweet Victory,

Alouettes fan and I'm a BC Lions ticketholder (during the Als absence) the Lions became my adopted team.
Logically yes the Als should win but the great thing about sports is the game is not played on paper.

Talk about an oxymoron. Terrible coach but has the record for most wins. How can a terrible coach have the wins record? When I read comments like yours I really do have to chuckle.

Remember when he arrived here, the franchise was in terrible straights. He turned it around, with the help of Bob Ackles, but it has become with Montreal the dominate franchise in the last 10 years.

I tend to agree that he should move upstairs and bring in a new coach with fresh ideas, new energy and a new feel With Printers showing he is the #1 QB, and the balance of the offence only needing some minor changes, its the defence that needs work.

Boy, it's so easy to be an armchair coach. Can't get fired.

I Buono probably didn't have his best year in coaching but, the guy has consistently been the best over the last 2 decades. I didn't like the constant quarterback changes but, now they have Printers they can build around him and move on from there.

In my mind he has always been a better GM then he was a coach. If you look at his record with Calgary and B.C.,for the most part he has been able to bring the players in to finish in first place, but has only been able to win 3 Grey Cups over a 27 year period, which tells me that he is being out coached by his opponents.

I believe if they can get Scott Ackles to leave Calgary and come to B.C. to continue his dad's legacy, Buono will be gone.

B.C. Teams ????

What is it with the Lions and Canucks, get close enough to grab the brass ring, and then they fall off the merry-go-round. generally badly. It seems like whenever they play for all the marbles they collapse. I don't really follow either sport, but catch the odd game and then there's the back and forth on here. You'd think with all the ideas and theories floating around somebody would come up with something that works, either hockey or football.

Buono has spent his entire career with two of the most resourceful franchises in the CFL...

he has been blessed to have top talent because of that...

Braley and the late Bobby Ackles resurrected this team not Buono...

one with money, the other with connections..

I would take Hufnagel, Miller and Trestman over him in a heart beat...

Eric Tillman or Scott Ackles would be a brilliant fit...

and the fact remains, relative to his regular season success he has been a post season flop...

the 2004 benching of the CFL's outstanding player Printers for the Grey Cup was ridiculous...

it would be like Ovechkin scoring 65 goals, winning the Hart Trophy leading the Capitals to the Stanley Cup final...

and than having Boudreau on the eve of game 1 announcing that Ovechkin will be a healthy scratch for the finals...

BTW, I wonder how Ovechkin would react...

an absolutely overthought heinous decision by Buono...

I do have to ask, but I think I already know the answer. Do really believe what you are saying? I might be incorrect because I haven't checked the stats, but if memory serves me correctly, Calgary was going nowhere fast before Wally, and all he did was make it a very successful franchise. He then came to B.C. and did the same thing here. Again, I sometimes cursed at his decsions during the big game, but if you care to think about it, there wasn't too many big games here since Don Mathews left.

Sure his record in the Grey Cup and even the playoffs could be better, but he has always fielded a truely competitive team both here and in Calgary. He also instilled a winning attitude in B.C. something that even Mathews was not capable of sustaining here.

You don't get into the playoffs and have winning seasons by not being a good coach. Again I say, I am not his biggest fan, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for the man.

And the comparison with Ovechkin is apples and oranges. Besides, Printers wasn't a healthy scratch for the Grey Cup game. I am still upset he didn't put him in.

seems they have been a very successful franchise without him too...

and please don't tell me he has been the architect of the current Calgary team...
It's almost like talking to silky. Your thought process leaves something to be desired.

If you may remember, after Wally left Calgary, they became almost as useless as Hamilton was at the time. It wasn't till Hufnagel came into the orginization did it turn around, or have you fogotten the Matt Dunigan era. Now I happen to think Dunigan was a great QB as well as a great commentater, but he failed miserably as a coach.

So no, to answer your post, Wally didn't have anything to do with their resurgence, but they fell apart after he left.

how many years did Dunigan coach the Stampeders...

also if you look at one of my earlier posts I stated I would take Hufnagel over Buono...
