Hello Everyone,

Very new to this sort of thing, but how many of these ads are real on Leolist?

I have tried to contact some of these ladies, but they just keep sending me to sites that want my credit card information.

Help a brother out. How does one determine the legitimacy of an ad?

Kind Regards,

If there is no phone #, it is almost certainly a scam. The language is another tip off, as well as whether the images match the description...ie, "Pretty Asian available" but the pic is obviously not of an Asian lady. A too good to be true price is also an indication of a scammer. I find, even with the legit providers, the majority do not respond to emails.

Like any site there are going to be fake ads. Either complete scams or just ladies misrepresenting themselves.
More reason to use the big head and only see ladies with reliable reputations and reviews/recommendations on trusted sites such as this and a few others.

Cheers

Stick to agencies or advertisers here on PERB.
Here in Victoria we have a lot of ladies who have issues. Some of those ladies are now LL`s VIPS. Myself after seeing that , i have deleted LL.
It has gone to complete shit, I gave up on indy`s. The Risk vs reward has become to great. Just not worth it anymore unless they are reviewed here

Cheers
100% Agree

I've booked with advertisers here and have never been scammed.

Winnipeg seems to get quite a few amazing looking visiting SP that advertise here too. I'd doubt they would be scammers.

"VIP status" as far as Leolist is concerned means "bumped more than 6 times today". It should not be used as an indication of reliability or legitimacy.

I never rely solely on LL. I go back and forth between PERB and Leolist and result is no scam ever.

Now, a word of warning.... TO ALL OF YOU.

It happened to me once and out of respect for the lady, I am not going to name her. I also feel she genuinely had nothing to do with it.

It happened more than three years ago. I contacted a girl via her website, which is basically an email. Out of impatience, I also texted her. I got a rather quick response via email confirming the appointment. Later in the day, when I got response from her text, I was a bit confused, I just had a sense that she did not go thru my email properly.

Anyways, on the day of the meeting, as I was driving towards her place, I get a text from a different number saying that she wants the full money emailed transferred before the meeting. I was a bit taken a back. I just had a weird feeling. So I texted the emailed the original email and told her I can't do that. Anyways, there was a bit of back and forth and I texted the lady instead and everything seemed fine. So I texted the scammer back with a few not so nice things to whoever it was. The response was scoffs and sarcasm.

That's when it became obvious that someone had hijacked her email/website etc. Anyways, I went ahead and had a great time and I let her know what happened. Ever since, I don't use the automated email form available on the websites or on LL.

Also, I didn't cancel on her was because of her reviews on PERB were good and solid. And that's what I mean when I say I go between both of them and honestly, I trust PERB fully.

Its very possible it wasn't even her ad. Anyone can create a ad, use existing ads text and copy paste their pics and put in their own phone number and email addy. Almost like the CRA scam.

Can't be to carefull

Although it happened a long time ago, I vaguely remember she had link to her website on her LL ad! Otherwise, how would I even know she had a website? :)
But yea, you can't be too careful.

Someone in Edmonton was using an Ontario girl's pictures. The real owner was a verified advertiser, the thief used the pics marked "verified" to look legit.
Be very careful, and check here or on twitter for an actual personality behind the ads.
There is also a notorious scammer who demands up front deposits. Anytime someone does that you should check here.

Whenever I go on LL, I come here and search the phone number xxx-xxx-xxxx if you copy and paste make sure you put in the dash marks, and change any O's to 0's and delete any spaces. Kept me from calling some shady people or at least ones that are less than honest around age/appearance/etc.

LEO LIST VIP
VIP is 3 ads per day gives you a crown. Collect 9 crowns per week gets you VIP.
Then 4 ads per day gives you a crown. Collect 7 crowns per week gets you VIP

Depending on how many VIP you have had in a row I guess.
Never assume, it will always make an ass out of you.

Leolist appears to have been flooded with scam posts since the demise of Backpage.

VIP, verification, directory — these mean nothing.I have seen known scammers in all three upgrades.

I’m happy Leolist is making bank. But it its operators don’t find a way to lessen the disproportionate number of scam posts, they’ll start losing tge eyeballs that matter (eg, actual paying pooners, as opposed to surfers who just wank) then its only a matter of time before they lose advertisers.
I doubt they will loose many advertisers, there are no real alternate options. New advertising platforms come and go, some stick around with almost no advertisers or traffic. ATM no other choices for pooners and advertisers except EROS which has become a problem for advertisers for privacy and border crossings.

Think were stuck with LL for good or bad for the time being.

Kwik e mart.com was operational in 2013... founded by the owner of beach bunnies who made a similar site to backpage. He spent 50g o n the website. Anticipated backpage being shut down.
Not sure whats happened to that investment, but it certainly was a GOOD IDEA!!
And a waste of 50g since it seems to have disapearred :smokin:

I figure the clients go wherever the ladies choose to advertise. What would you ladies like to see change in LL? Lower rates? Easier payment? Better user interface? What?
