I was speaking to a newer member recently who had left a couple reviews then taken them down .

These reviews were Not scathing by any means .

They were the type that pointed out one or two things he liked , one or two things he didn’t like .

I would call them , not overly positive & not overly negative .
Just the facts , neutral .

When I asked him why he took them down he informed me he got a ton of hate DM’s for saying anything negative about said provider or establishment.

I’m asking for feedback here , for my own knowledge moving fwrd on this site.

I would have thought there would be some sort of rule against this as it is trying to “control what someone says”
On a review board .

I told him he should report the accounts to the mods then block them .

After all what is the point of a review board if only over the moon positive reviews are allowed ,

or if only raving 5 star reviews reviews do not experience
( I hate using this term but seems to be the only one that fits )
Online bullying .

On a side note he did mention that every single one of these accounts had never posted a single thing publicly.
Not even a peep , ZERO. Just lurkers .

He should report anything out of line to the moderators

100% have him report each hateful message to the mods. You are so clearly correct here 👏💯

Personally, I'd want the hateful lurkers to be fully VPN-banned because they'd be the type of people prone to repeating this bullying crap. I'm probably more strict/harsh compared to most - I don't like bullies!

This kind of behaviour is very much against the rules, use the report post button if they use a PM and they’ll be dealt with accordingly. Don’t believe any nonsense they give you about getting you blacklisted even if it’s a paid advertiser. And please don’t fall for the “ I’m on the PERB DNR list” that list is very short and hard to get on to, if you want to check if someone is on the list PM a moderator and we’ll be glad to help you.

I have been fairly well discouraged from posting reviews.
I have had agencies, and independent providers decline to see me based on neutral / positive reviews that I had posted.
Noting that a provider had stretch marks was something that I received a lot of negative feedback on.
Not sure how to navigate this aspect of the board.
I ended up editing out negative details from all of my reviews and stopped posting them after that...

Yup, you learn real quick here to leave out even the silliest thing that someone might take the wrong way, because your reviews can and will get deleted and you can get banned for them. Which is why most of the reviews just sound like shills and aren't worth very much.

Reviews should be honest and truthful, or else this board becomes useless to those of us who use it for its intended purpose. If things are kept respectful and within the clearly stated rules the mods should have no reason to remove reviews, even if they are negative.

May I suggest that you never use your PERB handle as a reference (PERB? Never heard of it.) Then there is no way a negative review can get you black listed or out of favour with an agency.

There is a reason we use handles and user names instead of the ones that mamma gave us.

If you post a review and you get hassled via PM by a provider, agency or other poster, please flag the PM and let the mods assist. We will not allow bullies or competitors nor anyone else retaliate against a poster for an honest review, good bad or indifferent. It's happened before and those providers and/or posters are no longer around. We don't want to ban anyone, but the community is worth protecting and those who would try to weaponize the board are not welcome here.

The wonderful thing about internet is that you can (to a certain extent) be anonymous... So you really shouldn't bother about a handful of losers trying to make you silent... That's what avatar are for

For those saying they had problem rebooking someone due to perb reviews I would say you painted yourself in the corner... I think that "bad/mitigate" reviews are totally legitimate, but if you do so make sure it's not totally obvious for the girl that it's you who wrote it... Wait a few days and be vague on certain details (if you want to rebook the agency/provider afterwards).

If 20 minutes after the session you write something like "I was at buzzer at 5:07 and got in at 5:19, due to a complicated childbirth her tummy look like a lawnmower accident and the place smell like donkey fart" don't be surprised if you can't get booked afterwards...

As a general rule of thumb I think that provider/agency/your boss/your wife/the guy cleaning your gutter shouldn't be able to make the link between you and your perb handle

It is hard to take any of those reviews seriously knowing that writers are walking on eggshells and can not say anything negative. There are legitimate reasons why someone might have something negative to say. And when you are doing your research to choose the perfect girl you need to know these things as to not waste either of your time.

If you think that OP have avoided certain details in a review you're checking in order to book you can send private message... That might be a way to get a precise information you're looking for without filter

That is a really good point. I will be sure to do so when at odds if I should book a girl. However, it is still concerning for the general integrity of any review site if the admins are not allowing honest reviews. I am hoping of course this is not the case.

Honestly on perb it's completely unrelated to admin/mod... More like a self censorship due to personal reasons... Either to not hurt the provider/agency, can also be because you genuinely don't care about some stuff that might be important to others... Can also be not to be recognized (being anonymous is important for everyone)

Sometimes it can also be because there's some losers white knight that will attack you if you don't adulate their favorite girl. "No yOu cAnT sAy tHiS, sHeS tHe DeFiNiTiOn 0f pErFeCtIoN..."

Just message the reviewer if you have any doubt

I agree
I have been thinking about starting to review again with this in mind

Yeah, that really is the entire point of a site like this
I need to start writing reviews again

Multiple reviewers perspective make this site the bomb 💣! The conmunity really puts the ERB in PERB.

All we need now is the AI summaries like Amazon has now. But actually, I would still read the reviews for enthusiasm, true gritty details, and subtle nuance.
