It made me think of the 100's of items I've transported in my vehicles - NOT quite to that level... Funny tho...

I see this all the time , not to the same upstream .. But people go buy stuff at Home depot and then it won't fit in their car or it is to heavy for their little van .
I have offered a few time to help people out it just makes more sense when they don't have any.

That was part of my reasoning when i advertised my services as "The Pick Up Guy" But i never got call to pick up stuff for people at Home depot or an appliance place .. but for the few things i did help deliver i realized that it was a two man job and often you need a dolly. $50 does not even cover the time and frustration of removing and delivering washers and stove , or some one wanting you to take a Heida bed down a narrow stair way ... .

I don't mind picking it up and transporting stuff . but they need to be able to load and unload . That is not usually the case .. so then it is more then being a good Samaritan or a part time job . You need to get payed , you need help , and insurance and hope that you don't fuck your self up trying to wrestle with some of the things people ask you to pick up and deliver

And that is exactly why I make the disgustingly good living that I do......though I sure as hell dont offer delivery services for purchases from Home Depot.....and I sure as hell would not wrestle a 300 pound washing machine down a flight or 2 of stairs after I delivered it for a lousy $50 whilst risking personal injury.

As for the retard who figured he could move a full sized refrigerator in the trunk of a Honda Accord sedan....well that guy should not be allowed to operate a motor vehicle.....that is just plain dumb.

Yes in most cases a delivery service charges at lest $70 or $80 there are two men and they have a 5 ton truck full of stuff to deliver Yap i think they could make a good living when people are buying .
