Is there a cure for acne?

I've had it forever.

It makes me embarassed to visit an SP, even SWs, let alone
even consider that any girl would want me as a BJ, er BF?

It seems that i am doomed to jackoff heaven.

Probably. Apparently semen is good for the complexion so maybe you can curl up into a ball, jack off, and come on your own face. You can ask any of VV's clients for verification as they've probably been on the receiving end of another guy's at some point in time.

Maybe she will start marketing it as her secret ingredient
in a new skin care product...

The best way to treat acne is to wash your face thoroughly about 2-3 times a day with a mild face cleanser. Something a woman would use.
Hey! That was my advice, sort of...

Yeah, see a derm doc, but never ever agree to use Accutane.
That is a common oral medication that dermitologists have prescribed to patients who have severe acne problems. It has been linked to depression, and in some cases suicide. The f*cking thing actually does not work all that well, it dries up your skin and can cuase severe blemishes and other scars on your face such as pot marks. If you have had eczema in the past, Accutane can cause eczema to flame up horrifically.

The best way to treat acne is to wash your face thoroughly about 2-3 times a day with a mild face cleanser. Something a woman would use. The doctor may also try anti-biotics, if the acne spreads to your body.
I've been trying something like that, i think, two three step product
lines by Proactive & Murad. The former seems to help with my face
but some other areas {chest, arms, back & shoulders} are worse
than ever. And that baffles me, especially as i'm pushing 50. Have
had this shit since my teenage years, but my face back then looked
like something from the X-Files or Alien movie series. Almost nonhuman.
I think diet, exercise, fresh air, & stress are significant factors. And
a bit of fasting may help.

Okay, okay, try taking "time release" versions of Zinc and vitamin B100 complex tablets, vitamin A gel capsules, unscented garlic gel capsules, and go try a face tanner twice a week. I know the tanning risks but at your age any real damage would have been done by now. It will work.

Also the usual pore opening and cleansing liquid soaps. Bar soap may irritate your skin and make it appear worse than it really is.

For scarring, eat a lot of strawberries as they are a natural source of collagen.

If all that fails (it won't! )go back to my first suggestion!

Try Levulan Kerastick medication with dual light. This is the emerging treatment for acne. Most dermatologist/plastic surgeon now offer this treatment.

You can also see an herbalist or someone who practices naturopathic medicine. I'm kind of suspect on anything produced by the drug companies as they're not into cures. Cures are bad for business and discourage shareholders.

There's tons of things you can try.

Over the counter products that contain benzoyl peroxide 2.5 to 5% in a lotion, crm, or gel form is standard protocol. If that isn't working, you can try topical rx products that contain vit a (retinoic acid) in varying concentrations and forms; 0.025% to 0.05%. The next step up is to use oral antibiotics; erythromycin, tetracycline, minocycline,etc... Accutane definitely works but is normally a last resort. It's pretty effective for an acne sufferer who gets lots of cysts but has tons of side effects.

Good luck!!

Diet.....

I have to agree with BOING. A good diet works wonders.
-Plenty of fruits & veggies (preferably raw).
-Complex carbs: provides fiber to help with the elimination process. Skin problems can be a result of built up toxins from constipation.
-Plenty of filtered water to flush out toxins & regenerate the skin.
-Consider a good multi vitamin & mineral supplement. Lots of vitamin deficentcies can show up as skin problems.
-Avoid junk food as it aggrivates skin conditions.
-Get plenty of rest & exercise.
-Saunas or steam rooms help the skin sweat out toxins.
-Try a face mask x1 week. Clay, volcanic, there's lots of differant ones.
-Try avoiding heavily scented soaps & laundry detergent. You could have sensitive skin.
-Try tea tree oil. Its a natural anti biotic thats also great for cuts & scrapes.

I would try to avoid perscription meds for acne. While it may help the condition in the begining, taking anti biotics for long periods of time will do further damage. I've known many people who took tetracycline & their acne did get better but when they stopped the medication it came back.

As an ex-girlfrined of a man whom had cystic acne, I put him on a regimen of
-no-touch policy on the affected areas
-products with glycolic acid (I used a local line Quantum Hydrox 10% glycolic acid to soften my skin and it worked to help exfoliate and balance out the dryness on HIS face and body. You can find it the Shoppers Drug Mart at Pacific Centre and the Davie Street location) It may sting a bit but that's because you are not used to the acid but it takes about a week to notice a real difference. Alpha and Beta Hydroxy acids speed up the skins exfoliation/shedding process which, takes usually 28 days to renew, throw in the lactic, malic acids and it will take only 10 days for the skin to renew. Closest to a miracle.
-the blue light works on some individuals but it's worth a try.
You are producing a lot of testosterone, end result acne. You might want to looking into VERY low doses of estrogen or synthetic estrogen to balance out the testosterone.

Remember.
It takes roughly 8 weeks on any skin care regimen to start seeing results.
And contrary to what many people believe, food has no effect on acne.

See a holistic practioner. You may need to change your diet altogether. We are what we eat...and often times the foods that are deemed healthy by most of the population, may be very, very bad for your particular make-up.

Sounds as though you may need a regime specified to your own personal needs.

Try not to take any meds from a Dermatologist. Most of it is shit anyhow, with a thousand other side effects, and just further pollutes the liver.

Good luck. let me know how things go!
