Read this off another site - thought it was interesting:
================
Online dating sites have created a situation where 5% of the men are fucking 95% of the women. And it gets worse and worse every year.
Here's an example of what I mean: Back in the eighties and nineties, if you wanted to have sex, you had to go to a club, hang out, meet girls, chat them up, etc. The whole process was fairly involved and you might go months or even years without hooking up. In the club, there were only a few hundred regulars so everybody knew everybody. This also reduced your chances of 'hooking up.' For instance, a woman might be interested in having sex with you, but she wouldn't do it because it might impact her reputation negatively.
In 2018? All bets are off. You have millions of people on dating sites. Women aren't worried about their reputation, because the dating sites give them anonymity. This setup creates a situation where women can 'chase' after the best man possible. That, in turn, creates a situation where the top 1-5% of the men are getting the lion's share of the women.
The reason that all of this is happening is because online dating has basically dropped the price of admission to zero. Back in the 80s and 90s, people had to invest time and money to find sex. Due to that, there was an incentive for men to 'settle down' and there was an incentive for women to 'settle.' Online dating fucked that all up; now a good looking guy never has to settle, and women can't get guys to 'settle down.'
I've had a mistress for nearly a decade, and I hear her talk about this all the time. Basically she would've found a boyfriend or husband a decade ago, but she simply refuses to lower her standards. So she winds up on the carousel, dating guys for 1-3 dates and then they ghost her. A handful have stuck around to take advantage of the free vagina (like me) but she'll never have a boyfriend until she learns to settle.
Of course, all of this is good for hookers. When you have a huge chunk of the male population that isn't getting laid at all, it's good for business.
