I'm not making reference to anyone in particular (so please don't be offended). However, I was browsing through some of the advertisement websites such as Eros, CityVibe, Localescorts etc and found that there are quite a few SPs that must be insane. Talk about being totally overpriced... In contrast Ingrid charges $300 as well, but she's fucking hot... I'd gladly pay $400 to have a session with her... But if your a nasty ass chick, why the hell do you charge the same price... what gives???
Pricing of SPs is a mystic art that involves consideration of countless factors, including not only looks, attitude and service but the SPs answers to the following fundamental questions:
1. How much does the SP want to work?
2 What is the maximum price the SP can charge that will allow her to work the number of hours/week or hours/month that she wants to work?
3. What type of client base does the SP want?
4. What mix of "regulars" to "new" clients does the SP want?
An SP who only wants to work a couple hours a month for extra spending money can pretty well charge as much as she wants, so long as she gets her couple of hours of bookings.
Another SP may want to maximize monthly income. She'll try to settle on a rate that will result in the best combination of rate/hours to maximize that income. This may mean a lower rate and say 8 hours of appointments a day, or a higher rate and less hours per day.
Another SP may not like dealing with a constant stream of new clients and may prefer a small stable of regulars. She'll work out a rate that maximizes the number and frequency of regulars, and may likely have a higher rate for new clients. The combination of rate and services for her regulars will try to balance a number of things, including keeping them from seeing other SPs in case they become regulars of the other SPs.
Finding and setting an appropriate hourly rate is likely very difficult for an SP. Too high and she may not get enough business, and it may then be difficult for her to lower her rate. Too low and she'll resent it - especially if she gets too busy and overworked.
Fortunately, clients have it much easier than SPs. If we don't like the rate we can simply decide not to book. Alternatively, we can whine and bitch on boards like PERB, which pretty well guarantees the SP will never see us - so we no longer have to worry about the rate. We can also elect instead to book another SP or go to an "all-inclusive" place like Serenity, Temptations, Broadway Bodycare, etc.. for about $200 per hour (after coupons) where there is a selection of ladies from which to choose.
Hate to burst everyone's bubble but no matter how much we guys may think we're God's gift to women, that does not us the right to demand that an SP see us at a reduced price because that is the price we would like to pay. An Sp has no obligation to negotiate that or any price with us. On the flip side, an SP can't force us to book with her.
Each of us has to decide what is the maximum amount we're prepared to pay. There's many SPs I'd really like to see, and some I saw that I'd like to see again, but may now have a price or may have increased their price to an amount that I'm simply not prepared to pay regardless of whether I can afford it. If a price is beyond that limit I don't book. If I've seen an SP before and she increases her price beyond that limit, I don't call her again. It's really not that complicated from a client's perspective so I don't know what all the fuss is about.
For every SP and every price, somewhere there's a client with a wallet. The relationship of SP and client is perfectly balanced and there is peace in the universe.
