Basically all of the travelling girls advertising on LL without email addresses and websites are being trafficked to some degree. Easy to spot, they often stick with phone apps, Eastern Canada area codes, sometimes Alberta 587 numbers. They are party friendly, say no black gentlemen and will have tattoos that mark them as the property of the guy. crowns with initials under them are a common one. One just got busted from Toronto, having groomed and trafficked a girl (well more than one, he was charged with over 20 counts) out to BC. The ladies are often addicted to drugs on purpose to control them more easily and often give shit service or straight up rip off as well. In BC, all of the Richmond B&S Ads, as well as the various hotel based crews, Accent Inn, Days Inn, always 3 star, often in the suburbs, never downtown or anywhere key card access is a thing for the most part. They don't give a damn about repeat business and often use fake pics as well so they can't be used against them.

Reporting the ads to LL doesn't do a damn thing, that site could not care less, they have allowed fake/scams for years, along with viagra, cialis ads, most often fake drugs, along with the scam dating and hookup sites that want your credit card info, which is promptly used to clone cards and make fraudulent charges, often on the other side of the world. There's nothing remotely legit about LL anymore, not for a long time.

I have no idea why Law enforcement isn't all over this, it seems they take forever to bring cases against the pimps, likely because so many of the girls don't believe they can escape, having been assaulted, threatened or worse by these scumbags.

Fake pics are so the actual girl is not identified by anyone looking for her. This one reason fake pics are a huge issue.

Well then...thank goodness for Perb and we're safe here. Right? I would visit ladies or agencies affiliated only with Perb anyhow.

Why blame just the pimps? In my opinion, clients who knowingly support these operations should be held accountable for their actions. I suspect many of them are fully aware of what they are doing and do not care for the human suffering they are contributing to. They should answer to law enforcement for their actions and be exposed for supporting such suffering.

If there was little, or no profit, perhaps there would be less trafficking in Canada. I appreciate that this may be a naïve opinion, I do not have first hand knowledge of any of these operations. It just makes sense to me, less client support, less profit, less trafficking.

A better tittle would be sex trafficking. Pimping.
When I saw the post, I thought slavery... Seems the terms are interchangable....

I wonder , does anyone ever report some of the sketchy ads on LL ?
How much staff does LL have?
It seems mostly automated.
There are thousands of ads and they can’t all be checked by an employee.
I saw someone using pics stolen from a lady I knew and nothing happened when I reported it. Nothing when she reported it. Only after the fake ad was mentioned on the board did it get taken down.

@the Meat Market!!!lol
so..... Law enforcement are "all over it"....as far as I know and have experienced.... the reason there are not more arrests is because the crime is NOT prolific and does not happen as often as is being portrayed here.....having "no website" is not a sign of trafficking... it could be a newbie, part-timer or someone who is not willing to put that kind of work into this industry. Tattoos are also not a "sign of trafficking"....I have many tattoos....

SSL Management made reference to punishing clients as well as pimps..... these kinds of views of our industry create broad sweeping policies that effect everyone....licensed parlors, indy companions and everyone in between

I know it is easy to get swept up in the rhetoric of those people who wish to eradicate our community but please remember;

The sex work laws have recently been under review in Parliament and the report is leaning towards decrim. The harms created by the current laws - such as all sex work being seen as human trafficking - over surveillance of sex workers - are recognized in the report.
The Canadian Police Chiefs Association are about to adopt a national sex work enforcement guidelines like we have here in BC in recognition that the laws harm adult consensual workers
the Canadian Alliance are challenging the sex work laws and have a court date with the SPOC in october

The fun police - aka prostitution abolitionists - are working over time to confuse the conversation.
They are well funded and are ideological zealots.
They are extremely angry to see their lies finally being shown
Their willingness to allow sex workers to die in order to achieve their goal of abolition reveals their true intentions
Their relentless campaign to shame men into not purchasing sex
Their casting of all sex buyers as criminals who rape exploited little girls

They still are educating police officers that underage exploited children can be found in "strip clubs and massage parlors"

Have you ever seen a 12 year old in the VIP area? give me a break....

Exploitation does happen and we should all report it when we witness it but....

please try to go easy on the sweeping statements..... and definitely let's not support criminalization of sex buying as it is now... should people who participate in the exploitation and rape of child be held accountable? absolutely but call it what it is..... unlawful confinement, child sexual interference....

As a long time buyer and supporter of sex work I do have some ideas and comments on the general topic, but hesitate to wade into any discussion on the legal issues. Not a lawyer here but ... given what has happened in the US re abortion vs what Canada did in 1988 wherein abortion was removed from criminalization / decriminalization and made a part of reproductive health, my opinion is that sex work should be removed from any criminalization discussion. Exploitation and all related activities are criminal acts and those are defined but me visiting an SP for an hour and change and paying her for her time where we both just might get some dopamine rolling through our systems, should not be part of the discussion.

I take it a bit further and find this wonderful hobby akin to a gym visit, or drop in one on one (maybe one on two if lucky) game and so on. I'm paying to participate in an activity at my own risk. All else can fuck off.

Agreed on all of what Susi posted and my opinion is it is the sanctimonious hypocrite segment of the population pushing their self righteous agenda.

My 2bits, all points.
