would the flags still be out...

would the transit buses still be flashing "Congratulations Canucks" on their destination displays...

two weeks later, would it still be getting front page coverage in the papers...

would we still be having parades to celebrate ourselves ...

in general, would all the homer media and fans still be delerious some two weeks later ...

feel free to add to the list of ways this silly hockey city would celebrate...

actually, there would be something in the media every day probably cause the cup goes to each players home town and I'm sure media would follow it every step of the way.

the funny thing is that there are 30 teams and only one will win, so its easy to say "oh the canucks won't win." its 30 to 1 odds. its much harder to have some faith in your team and support them all the way to whatever end they come to at the end of the year.

all two or three of you (however many of you there) are all taking the easy way out. if you are fans of the canucks like bjhunter claims to be, then fucking act like fans and not assholes rubbing the rest of our noses in the mud cause we chose to believe in our team and cheer them on.

supporting the team doesn't mean you can't be critical of the team, i've questioned moves/choices they've made just don't act like a dick head while doing it.

as for bandwagon fans, yeah they kinda piss me off a bit too, but not all fans are bandwagon fans, so don't treat them as such.

in short stop acting like idiots cause when the canucks finally do bring the cup here you guys will look like the biggest idiot band wagon fans around.

Which obviously their playoffs demonstrated. Sure, getting to the 2nd round by our standards, is a miracle. But no way, should the BW expect to beat Anaheim or Detroit after the Nucks swept the Blues.
