Farming validation to not send ID, assuming you don't want to send it? You can just see SPs who don't require it without other guys saying "don't do it if you don't want to". A great use of free will is deciding your personal boundaries and reasonable level of risk taking.
Worst case scenarios are posted in neighbourhood warnings, sometimes. If you absolutely must see an SP who requires it, I hope they at least have solid reputation. Very tired and done to death topic.
