I am sick of all of the passive aggressive comments!

I spend a lot of time on Perb as I enjoy the majority of the content, as of late every single thread I read has an inner argument or a crass comment. When I read a review I don't want to hear about how one Perbite thinks that another Perbites contributions are slacking or how they shouldn't be reading the reviews or commenting on them because there contributions aren't up to someone else's standards.

A comment is a comment no matter how little it is, if someone just says hey _____ thanks for the review, that to me is enough. I don't think that it is necessary for someone to attack the lack of content it is just as easy if not easier to not write one at all.

On another note I don't like reading some of the crass and vulgar comments that I hear, the one that stands out most in my mind is "does she suck good cock", I don't have anything against the poster nor is this the only comment of its kind. I think that there are appropriate ways and inappropriate ways of asking questions or stating your opinions of other board members.

I am sick of all of the passive aggressive comments, I think that the meaning of the Pacific. Escort. Review. Board. is being lost and the reviews itself are becoming less important than the petty squabbling going on between the members.

We are all over the age of 18, we have to start acting like it.

I'm not sure I agree with you. This board is great because it is pretty loosely moderated. A lot of pretty fringe people get to have their say here. Often it borders on juvenille, hateful, violent and questionable. Other times it is close to brilliant. BJHs question is mostly ignored at this point, but he does bring up some pertinent questions. Some of us like to know if an SP will accept a facial. That for the most part is the purpose of this board. Yes it seems crass but I would like to know if it's possible before I commit to a session.

A lot of the comments about posters integrity and experiences are valid. Other times it may just be the kind of playful disrespect that men trade back and forth without any hurt feelings. I realise that there is many different lifestyles represented in the Perb membership and some of this dissing may be hurtful to some but that what makes this forum a valuable resource to some of us.

In another thread a poster called me an asshole and told me to fuck myself. It didn't rally bother me. however if he did that in person we may have to mix it up.

I agree with your point about this being a review board and that is it's strength.

I am fully aware of the chat room, I am more so referring to the fact that every review becomes a conversation that is no longer about the review. On other boards there aren't even places to post comments after a review. IMHO the reviews are no longer about the reviews but more so about the comments posted afterwords. This isn't the case every time I just see it happening more and more and think we should get back to the original meaning. Obviously there are certain questions that if left unanswered in the review that should be addressed but most of them are unnecessary.

There is a lounge or Chat room to banter back and forth with each other.

I agree, with Missy, that it not loosely moderated. Hence, the disappearing threads, and secret banning.

there is a comment along the lines of..."OMGZZ people are rude on the internetz!! ??"
its too bad because all the flames and rudeness scares away more constructive people that would

It has already deteriorated. PERB sucks thats why. I hardly ever come here anymore but when I do, it's with an I don't give a shit, say what I want, attitude. One day I might get banned or maybe deleted. Oh well there are more review boards around that are not dead like this one.

This board is by far the most rigidly and arbitrarily moderated board that I frequent. There's nothing loose about it

Just the opposite. Paying advertisers have much more carte blanche than reviewers do, and the moderation is skewed more towards making them happy than it is the typical reviewer. With that in mind, you have to know where your bread's buttered, so I can't fault the admin for taking care of business, but by no means is it a level playing field.

This board is also by far the most childish and least supportive intra-memberwise of the various boards that I post on. It's also the least trustworthy of the boards that I frequent, by virtue of excessive trolling and shilling. That being said, there are very few viable local alternatives, so you either learn to filter the BS or you leave. As a single poster trying to tell everyone on this board to play nice you're basically wasting your breath. You can either suck it up or leave. I would completely understand anybody's desire to do either.

You're right about that, and there are a number of reasons for it (i.e. back-patting, self-advertisement).

To me this thread is the same as someone being offended by what construction workers have to say. When you're on their territory, what do you really expect? If you're expecting them to speak the Queen's English upon your arrival, well I've got some news for you. If your shell is as fragile as a pair of quayles eggs, maybe it's time to build a thicker skin?
