Since consensual sex is now illegal in Canada, but general pubic continue to pursue this outlawed activity, and even post explicit details on this forum, the question arises: how safe is doing so? I understand it is perb.cc, not perb.ca any longer, but does this fact guarantee that good Canadian citizens are protected form the possible persecution by the fascist scum in Ottawa?

Could anyone (possibly a moderator) answer the following questions:

- Does perb.cc log IP addresses and other available info of perb.cc members, and if it does, for how long are these logs kept?
- Which legal jurisdiction is perb.cc located in?
- Is it possible for Canadian law enforcement to force perb.cc to release personally identifiable info which may lead to the persecution of innocent Canadians?

Your answers would be greatly appreciated.

What is a" general pubic "....?And why would my " Pubic " continue to pursue outlawed activity?
Jesus....Can I get a shot to cure that?

Phreak listen....We are allowed to voice our opinions in a free manner, unless it hurts another human being in his pursuit of their happiness....Information comes in many forms and this is one of them....Good luck with LE prosecuting someone for simply writing down a experience,...or thought.
It may be...Like the old days...When your caught with a SW..The cops just hassle you and try to embarrass you ,so you'll avoid the behaviour...Or at least their area so they won't have to deal with you in the future...Or maybe I'm just simplifying things.
Don't live your life in paranoia..It's too short my friend.

Since consensual sex is now illegal in Canada, I dunno why we're not letting in more foreign workers.

Sorry.

What is a" general pubic "....?
A "General Pubic" is a full rank above a "Colonel Pubic" and strictly engages in Military Intelligence (no oxymoron intended) operations involving spying on the private lives of citizens at home.

But seriously phreak, don't do anything stupid (underage, traficked, coerced. . . ) and you'll be fine.

Of course they do all those things. Honestly if we wanted we could inject something into perbs database and get all of our information off these servers. But it's easily reversed with proper back ups.

Since when is "Consensual Sex" Illegal?

I mean if you are going to be worried, be worried about the right thing.

The bill criminalizes the buying of sex – or “obtain[ing] for consideration… the sexual services of a person. There are other things it criminalizes, but NOT "Consensual Sex"

I do believe you meant consensual "paid" sex.

Regardless, the server info can be found here:

http://perb.cc.ipaddress.com

Surprise, surprise the servers are located in a forward thinking country where our hobby is 100% legal aka The Netherlands!!

Here are the answers as best as the mods know them. Fred may decide to add detail, or not, as it's his board.

1. Yes, the board software logs IP addresses for all registrations and posts. It's how we catch multiple handles and other infractions. I could only guess as to how long they are kept, it's certainly years.
2. As noted by others, the servers are in the Netherlands.
3. Possible theoretically, however note the following: Emails used at signup are, 99/100 times, hotmail, gmail or other anonymous emails, simply having that info would do nothing to assist Law Enforcement. Second, IP addresses change all the time, and again are hardly proof of anything let alone conclusive to a person's identity. Next, there's no proof, that meets a legal standard, of engaging in any illegal activity by posting here. Who's to say a review actually took place? Without proof, there's zero chance of a charge, let alone a conviction.

Last, in order to get the info, they have to serve the board owner, who now lives in Europe and have a court order enforceable in the country where the server is located, the Netherlands. Since cops cannot be bothered to enforce C36 in any community in the country, save for SW based stings and raids of AMP and other parlors where illegal immigrants are forced into the trade, it's HIGHLY unlikely they are coming after PERB or any other review board.

Question Perb Mod

Is it possible to find out which email address we used to sign up originally when we created our account? Just thinking if I DID use an email address that may include may name I'd like to change the email address you have on file to a more generic gmail address. You know, in case you're ever hacked a la Ashley Madison :)

Please advise. I went to My Profile and couldn't see anything indicating the email address associated with my account

Thanks

The funny thing is.....Hobbyists are still unknown - and anonymous. Unless they post specific information about themselves, they remain anonymous.....However providers are not really ever anonymous. They post their phone numbers, addresses, pictures, details. So, in reality, they are the ones at risk.

Any HOBBYIST that asks for specific services in this day and age.....even though it is clearly against the law.....well....PLEASE go to a country where its allowed. Also, those that post specific details about their encounters - specifically stating the details of money exchanged. Wow.

In my opinion, Providers are tired of being put in a position of...(I won't say it). However, for those that truly want to enjoy the company of someone who truly enjoys meeting new people, PLEASE, just don't ask and don't detail.

I can see others on an online dating site without issues. The moment money and sex are detailed.....The shit hits the fan.

Just my opinion. Peace...

Common misconception. It is now illegal to sell sex in certain situations. It used to be only illegal in public or bawdy houses. Now, they have made it so vague, that if some jurisdiction wants to clamp down, THEY CAN.

So, Try telling that to a cop who has pulled you over after leaving to visit a gentleman. Try explaining that to Child Services who is trying to take away your child. Try explaining that to a new fiancé who you explained what you did before you met him, and then he reads stuff about you online. Try going across the border, and the border guards decide to deny you entry because they feel you are a moral threat. I don't see hobbyists getting stopped at the border, but see providers having issues all the time.

In reality, the providers are the ones taking the risk - both physically, emotionally, and legally.

This thread is about how safe is this site. In reality, its safe for everyone if they keep details non specific. The moment address's are posted, specific personal info is leaked, etc....That's when things get complicated.

Just sayin...
