Try telling that to a cop who has pulled you over after leaving to visit a gentleman. Try explaining that to Child Services who is trying to take away your child. Try explaining that to a new fiancé who you explained what you did before you met him, and then he reads stuff about you online. Try going across the border, and the border guards decide to deny you entry because they feel you are a moral threat. I don't see hobbyists getting stopped at the border, but see providers having issues all the time.

In reality, the providers are the ones taking the risk - both physically, emotionally, and legally.

This thread is about how safe is this site. In reality, its safe for everyone if they keep details non specific. The moment address's are posted, specific personal info is leaked, etc....That's when things get complicated.

The moment any of those things are posted, they deleted and offenders banned. The rules are pretty clear. Any questions, ask a mod. Any issues with a thread, use the report button.

Well the way I look at it is if you are real paranoid like the days of December when the end of the pooning world was coming around with the birth of Bill C-36 you should buy yourself a fresh tablet or computer, sit yourself down at the nearest Tim's and type away. Create your new pooning email address there with total anonymity and their IP address and post away on this board.

Make sure you change your Tim's each time you log in, they might be sitting in the chair beside you or have CCTV or covert camera's set up to watch your activity while in the store. I hear they can have scanners also to see what site you are logged on to. Didn't you notice that kinda military looking guy sitting at the table at Tim's the other??? I saw him, I think he was waiting for me but I really screwed him up and went to Starbucks instead. I am starting to go to different cities each day to log in just in case.

There is no way they are going to catch me like all the guys they have caught since C-36 has come in force. I hear they have a special jail just for us since the regular jails are full up with the convicts of lesser crimes like rape, theft, burglary and murder, they all take a back seat so LE can allocate all their resources to find and punish us pooners.

Seriously guys, relax a little. Last I heard no one has been charged under C-36 except for some low lifes that deserved it because they were exploiting migrant workers who they brought to this country and they had no idea what they were going to be doing then kept them locked up for the duration. Good riddance, that's one of the things that the bill was supposed to stop.

For me the statements from both VPD and local RCMP are good enough for me that they have much bigger fish to fry. Myself I hope they concentrate their resources where needed like in Surrey.

Here is a tip for all. Posting trollish nonsense from a new account using TOR or other Proxy IPs isn't going to stop you from being banned or having your account deleted. In fact, it will accelerate the process. We do not want or need people screaming the sky is falling. As noted, our servers are well outside Canada and Fred and much of this conjecture is just that. To think that the police will go to the trouble of getting a warrant for your IP address from hotmail or gmail when they don't even enforce C36 anywhere is the country is completely absurd. Thread closed, take the conspiracy theories elsewhere, perhaps your mom's basement with the rest of the truthers and other tinfoil hat types.
