I put up a bunch of old tv's and clothes on craigslist. How long does it usually take to sell things on craigslist. I have another 4 days off, and am hoping it's all gone by then.

Those are hard items to sell. I sold a TV once that I paid nearly 2000 for and got only 450.
Research your prices at little.
Post more than once a day.
Same here, I bought one of those Cnet best plasmas blind. Had it delivered and over time hated the pic. Unloaded a 2k plus set for 450. It was a dim set. Never go by cnet review, I have a low rated plasma from 2010 I enjoy much more.

And on Cl nothing sells unless its totally bargin basement.

You might have a better chance on Kijiji to sell your stuff

I put the tv's up for $25 and $45 and the suits up for $50 each. Also trying to sell a used 1/5 hp furnace blower motor for $45. All are or best offer. I might make $150 if I sell everything.

People don't buy tv's when they can get them for free. Just check the free section on CL.

I had a microwave that was too big for my new kitchen and couldn't sell it even though it was a top of the line type. I offered it to a street person who was dumpster diving in my blue box and he laughed at me saying he has lots of microwaves but was interested in a flat screen TV. BBB shakes his head WTF?

Appliances and Electronics are just becoming a disposable items unless you can find a buyer who actually needs what you have to sell.

Craigslist buyers coming to my house creeped me out too. It was like they were taking stock of what else you have inside. They never got past my front door but were sure looking over my shoulder.

This is the bottom line. People only go for it if it really is an extremely good deal. And about 50% of those who contact you will flake out and never show up to pick the stuff up, based on my experiences.

I actualy have a bunch of stuff I want to get rid of myself The little bit I may get for everything seems like so much of a hassle when I have to answer all the calls then wait around to see if the people show.... then have them all walk around my home.. so in the end I am in the process of finding a good organzation to donate everything to. ( just picking one at the moment ) If you really want to sell the items.. I wish you luck.... but keep in mind there are lots of great organizations that would be happy to take the items away from you, and you would be supporting a good cause.

Selling anything on craigslist or Kijiji is a crapshoot at best....if it is an expensive item like a used
vehicle you will get lowballed by a bunch of douchebags who justify cutting the price in half or more
because they will pay in cash.

I have only had 1 item for sale on Kijiji that went well and it was for a very specialized bench mounted
power tool.It came with a lot of extras as well. The guy emailed me and asked if it was still for sale and
when I replied that it was he called me immediatly.I told him that I had another guy interested in it
and he said "consider it sold and for $50 more than you are asking if it is MINE".He took the address down
and arrived 45 minutes later. He inspected the item and was satisfied and the deal was done but he was
$100 short so he drove to his nearest bank branch and got the cash and happily left with the item.

This is the only sale on Kijiji I have had go this way and it was because the guy was specifically looking
for this item used.

I sold 95 4"X 4" ceramic tiles today for $20. :)

I don't think I'll be able to sell the TV's, but hoping someone picks up my 1/5 hp furnace blower motor for $40

Man, I've never good luck getting rid of things on Craigslist.

One time I was trying to give away a couch FOR FREE, and every response I got was like "well, I'll consider taking a look at it if you drive it out my place in Mechosin!"

It could take you quite a while to sell if you're like the idiots postings ads for electronics and asking retail prices.
Here's a hint: your 4yr old 46" tv ain't worth shit.
