How far would you travel to see someone

I have a trip coming up where I’ll be about 2hrs from a favourite lady. The city I’ll be in isn’t bad for options but I’m having the internal debate: do I make the trek out to see a (almost) sure thing or save the time (4+ hrs driving round trip) to see someone local (maybe even Outcall for the ultimate in laziness/efficiency!)?

How far (or how much further) would you travel to see someone?

Ha ha, I have gone as far as the Kootenay’s, saw a gal standing in the Lake in her ads and I set up a date and time. Wanted to do a road trip anyway so I worked it in, had it all arranged and the next day all was a go and when the time came she cancelled. I was disappointed but it was lots of fun up country anyways especially some of the Bars in Nelson.

When I'm in Vancouver, I see women who are within walking distance of my location, or near a Skytrain station.

On a business trip to Kelowna a couple of years ago, I saw someone who got me hooked on her. I would drive to Kelowna and back in a day just to see her. I did that 10-12 times over the course of a few months. Then I realized, what the hell was I doing and stopped that.

Well, according to Google Maps, it was about 4000 km. But sometimes 600 km. More usually 160km.

Why don't you jump in your truck and drive there, 'cause according to you, you live 'an hour and a half from Kamloops',
and I understand that Kamloops has a number of nice S.P.s.... (Kelowna also has some nice ladies that hang around the Grand Hotel)

Almost every visit is a 5 hour rounder drive not counting the time in the city. Having said that, next weekend is 6 hours round trip by Air Canada to see a retired friend. That’s a whole new thread some day.

This is a very flakey business with people cancelling all the time. No way would I drive 2 hours to see an SP.
1/2 hour would be the max.

Time and Distance

A trip from any surrounding burb to VanCity is an epic Saga.

On weekdays, there may be a favorable mid-day, lite_traffic 'window of opportunity'.
Sundays are more navigable but with fewer attractions offered.​

Of course your right....I was a little pissed yesterday.
There is of course some stellar SP in Kamloops, that are members right here...and it's an hour and a half one way.
I wasn't aware of the Grand Hotel in Kelowna, I don't seem to get there often...more of my road trips head into the Fraser Valley when I'm able to get away.
