How often should I hobby to get the mental health benefits?
If I go monthly versus a few times a year.

Depends how "mental" you are.

But on a serious note, my "head" does feel much better because usually it helps with the stiffness.

Go when you want to, not because you have to, otherwise it becomes a chore. That's why I don't travel as much as I used to, because having to do a provider every day becomes a turnoff.

You probably mean doing The Same Provider.... right? Kinda like having a spouse. :)

Now I came back to Nanaimo I feel almost an instant down. .
Based on the news I've been seeing over the last few weeks, I don't blame ya! Damn gangs... (half-LOL, half-serious)

(well said on the entire post, by the way!)

SPs are much more decisive mentally about this industry - - - than us clients.

They just put it in their head to make money - - - and then proceed to do it.

I personally enjoy seeing my RMT , Chiro and My male Tantra massage monthly for mmaitence , though I wish I could see the RMT weekly :)

I think it depends on how much benefit you feel you are getting .
I realized way too late that my extended health plan covered 80% of any number of massages. Spent several years visiting a wonderful practitioner who lived nearby three times a week. If you heve extended health coverage check the benefits and enjoy.

It doesn't help me too much mentally. I've developed somewhat of an emotional attachment to an SP so that is difficult to deal with at times.

I like to have some sex now and again and it lets me have that pleasure. Also I can vent to my regulars massage ladies sometimes and its nice to just get it out. Also its nice to just spend some time in a woman's company and have it all be about you. Its not stressful and its like a mini vacation.

SP's have been helpful. As a result of an accident resulting in a severe concussion last spring‎. I have a very hard time climaxing. This was not a problem prior. Now I require a lot of types of simulation and SP's to me bring a different level of excitement. I appreciate their time and skills.

What the, I never even considered that. I have a really good extended coverage health plan. Not sure how I would find out which girls are set up so I can use my coverage with.

Everyone is in this hobby for their own reasons. I've been partaking for years, long before cell phones and the internet. Back in the day, you either picked up a streetwalker or visited a massage parlour. I don't believe man was meant to be monogamous, but is forced to be due to religious and moral beliefs. For years I hobbied to get my rocks off with beautiful women whom I would never even approach in a social setting. Some of these ladies have become long time friends. It's only been in the last few years I realized what I was looking for. It's not all about the sex anymore. It's making an intimate connection without fear of rejection or judgement. A good sp in my book IS part psychiatrist, but when was the last time your psychiatrist sicked your d***. She's not only a mental release, but a physical one as well. There's plenty of gorgeous ladies I've visited, but only once because the connection wasn't there. There are also some less than perfect looking ladies that I've made a connection with, and have seen numerous times. You could do the POF or tinder thing, but vfm, you're going to spend 100 bucks on dinner and a show to find out you don't like her, or she doesn't like you. If she does like you, you're going to spend hundreds more before the pants come off. Then there's the drama that comes with a relationship. When I see a lady, even if there's no connection (which I crave), at least I know I'm getting laid.

Reading the review section you'll find that paying an SP is not a guarantee of getting laid.

I have often left an MP with the biggest grin on my face and a very good feeling indeed.
Does this contribute to my mental health ? Yes
I have also left with a feeling of incredible disappointment and regret.
