There are some highend girls im interested in seeing and lots ask for either photo of your id or a referance. Idk why but i really dont want to give them my ID

How do you go about getting a referance? Do you get the SP to text you a referance and you screen shot it? Or do you give the referance SPs phone # to the new SP and they talk?

Ask a recent provider you were with (no more than 6 months ago) if they will provide you a reference and if so, which contact method they prefer. Provide the name/contact to the new provider and they'll talk. Sending your previous provider a gift card or something as a token of appreciation is a good idea as well.

Do not send the new provider contact info without reaching out to the person you're hoping will give you a good reference (in case you're thinking of skipping that step).

Be smart, do not send your photo ID or workplace info to any service provider. Even if they seem legit, your information can still get leaked or misused, and that can turn into blackmail or worse. Remember what happened with the Ashley Madison scandal, people’s private data got exposed and it caused serious damage.
There are plenty of providers out there who don’t ask for government ID or anything that invasive.
If something feels off to you, trust that instinct. Protect your privacy first.

There's a massive difference between sharing info with a reputable lady with a good track record and a random off LeoList. Let's stop with the tin foil hat conspiracy theories. Ladies put screening in place for safety, not to rip guys off or collect personal info.

If you want to see a well reviewed and regarded lady who has put screening in place for her safety, your choice is simple, trust her and book and follow her instructions or move on to someone else. Don't let paranoia get the better of you. Do be smart, if the person is completely unknown, without reviews or even a website, be smart, use references from other ladies, don't send personal info or again, just move on.

Ashley Madison is an asinine example, that was a website hack, not a reference check gone bad.

If she wants to see you ID, block out address, the DL number and any other personal info, be smart.

100 % agree but for folks new to this it can be unsettling. Same thing for deposits. If you venture into this space there is a learning curve. For example, while I technically did not get ripped off, my first attempt was off of Leolist. I purchased hundreds of dollars in Apple Cash cards then the request came to send the code. Obviously I did not and now I have lots of $ for Apple e purchases. It takes some trial and error. I now primarily rely on Tryst but my first and longtime fave Alex Fjord only advertises on Leolist so you never know. Lastly there is variability in screening and deposit requirements which can be confusing. Your advice to find a well reviewed person with website is a good start.

Thank you for your input. I’m just curious why well-reviewed providers in Vancouver, Montreal, or Toronto don’t seem to require photo ID like this? Is Victoria really that bad? I personally don’t feel comfortable sending my personal info to a 20-something provider. Asking for references and deposits is a legitimate way to verify potential clients, and that’s a fantastic thing that I support.
EOA is an awesome agency 👏 with amazing providers and zero hassle or drama.

Ask the provider you’d like the reference from if she gives references and if so, would she be willing to give you a reference and what method of contact would she prefer to be contacted. If she agrees, it’s always a nice gesture to send a small token of your appreciation… but generally not required, just nice etiquette.

Once you have the providers consent, send the contact information (including their website and/or social media profile) to the reference requesting provider (assuming the screening process has already been initiated).

ETA:
Many providers request ID for their safety, Indy providers are generally a bit more vulnerable working without the agency backup. You might be a safe person but we have no way of knowing that as you are a perfect stranger coming into our space.

And as others have mentioned, if you’re seeing reputable providers you shouldn’t have a problem. Just do your homework, or find someone with alternate options.

Well-reviewed providers in Montreal and Toronto (and some from Van I know that have toured my way) absolutely do ask for photo ID, especially indies but also some agencies too. Often they'll have multiple ways to screen but ID is not an uncommon ask for your first session. This is increasingly more prevalent in higher-end providers where their client quantity may take a backseat to their safety.

I agree you need to be smart with your information, so decide what your risk level is and choose providers accordingly. Don't complain or try and convince a provider to lower their standards for you tho.

When i went to see Barbie Aphelion and she asked for references i just gave her a few girls' names (not phone numbers) and then i texted those girls to let them know they may be hearing from someone about me. It worked beautifully and i had a good time.
