As for us in Vancouver, before the crash, susi had posted a thread that was titled "attack on poonatopia" or something similar about a campaign by abolitionist types to convince local LE to start enforcing those laws -- or at least I think that was the gist of it. I tried to find the thread through google's cache but had no luck. Hopefully, susi can repost it.
hey guys, so the local abolitionists are trying to force vancouver city staff and police to enforce bill c-36 through their campaign..."make vancouver a john free zone"
it will not be an issue, city staff and LE here are our allies and have both committed to not enforce this ridiculous law. our groups have been actively reaching out to warn the city and police about this new attempt to undermine our safety and are assuring them they are still doing the right thing....not enforcing.
this only applies to the city of vancouver proper...not burnaby or any other part of the lower mainland.
so, inside the city here the activities of 2(or more) consenting adults, remain a non priority for LE and city staff.
the news of arrests across canada based on this new law are really upsetting....i did try to help other areas do the things we did here but i think vancouver is really just unique and that the case of the missing women made our city understand that the arrest and reform method was not only not working, but was killing people as well.
anyway, the best advice is to listen to your instincts...if it seems dodgy....chances are ...it probably is....
love susie
ps- i will update people about the feminazi march and what if any impact it has.
